What is your biggest worry about the new game?

Are you concerned about them not including a certain feature you love? Or that you will get bored?

I don't think I have any worries actually. Which could be very naive of me XD But I have a lot of faith in this game being fantastic!

I don’t worry about anything... I am, however, slightly concerned that we won’t have any pre-New Leaf returning villagers and we may not get another series of cards with the new animals (and potentially returning ones).

I just want Woolio back, dammit.

I don't have many worries about the game itself, but more of a personal worry.

When New Leaf came out 8 years ago, I was 15 years old. I was still young, still bright-eyed and still heavily into video games. Animal Crossing was my favorite series of all time. I spent HOURS on this game a day. It was my passion for a good 1-2 years and I was suuuper hyperfixated on it. I loved it.

I'm worried now, that I'm 23, I won't love it as much. I'm older and my interest in my old passions and hobbies have dwindled due to the adult responsibilities weighing down on me. I am SO excited for this game (it's been a while since I've counted down to something!) but I worry that once I play it, I'll enjoy it for a week, and then move on like I have been with all the other games I've been playing.

I surely hope this doesn't happen as Animal Crossing is an amazing escape for me and I don't think my love for the series can ever die, but it's still a worry I have.

I am worried we won't get a lot of the items that Pocket Camp has.

I don't really care for the mobile game because of all the micro-transactions but I adore a lot of the items in the game. The Cinnamoroll Backpack is too freaking cute. And there are so many good hairstyles/wigs that are in the game! But I am worried we will never see the items in New Horizons.

I'm concerned about the max villager cap, that we still don't actually know outside of speculation. If it's not 12-15+ I'm gonna be really disappointed, considering "dreamies" for a lot of players take up pretty much the entire 10 slots that we've been stuck with for recent releases

This too, I'm so gutted that they removed a lot of the age diversity villagers. I'd be SO happy to have Otis, Sven, Iggy and Shoukichi back

this is basically my biggest concern -- and honestly, for me, 12-15 isn't even enough. i needed 5 copies of new leaf to get all the villagers i wanted... and now i can't even do that because it's literally one game per SYSTEM :| which imo is total bull.

I'm just worried I won't be responsible with time management and end up playing way too much, ruining both my sleep and work schedule.

Oh and I guess the villager cap too, I'd be a little disappointed if it was still just 10.

I totally get this yeah, it's annoying. In my thread about the villager cap I stated I'd like 20-25 at least, because I think villagers moving in at all is entirely up to the player, so people could have as little as they wanted still. I just say 12-15+ now because that's probably just what's realistic.

And one island per system also feels kinda bad, once I've built my dream island fully (which will admittedly take MUCH longer that it took to "complete" New Leaf), it'll kinda have that end-game feeling again probably, and without a second island to crack on with and theme entirely differently, it might just feel like there's little point in playing often

I fully agree with Krissi2197, I had the exact same feeling, however... at the same time I believe Animal Crossing would just be an even more welcome distraction in busy adult life than it was ever before. I mean, what could possibly be better than escaping from life to a youthful worry-free world on a tropical island?

I’m only worried about not getting my console due to shops closing and postal service shutdown. I ordered one to pick up at a local store and one online but am still worried that Germany will also get the complete lockdown treatment just like Spain, Italy and soon France.

oh yeah i totally agree, there's no way they'd be nice enough to let us have 20-25. if they do, i'd be extremely shocked. but as it is they seem keen on punishing those with one system, so i don't have much faith for villager count... even 12-15 seems too good to be true at this point :( i hope you're right though. i really do.

Not any worries just anxious for the 19th now, if we get a lockdown for any reason at least I can be a hermit in a hovel with AC for over a month <3 And I do agree about villager cap, I don't mind a smaller cap but I see no reason not to have more dreamies especially with the additional new villagers :/ i'm still full-throttle to hop in however : )

I'm hoping we get 12 villagers tbf. Also not too worried about time since I'm expecting my uni to go into lockdown anyway

I'm worried that the cafe and Brewster might not make it back into the game. It's been my favorite place to hangout and I'd be sad if they've decided to remove that.

I'm worried that the online play will run like big Doo Doo,
looking at you mario maker smh slideshow lookin ass

I'm worried we won't be able to move villager houses after they move in. While it's soooooo amazing that we can chose where to place them initially, I'm scared of getting dreamies early on and realizing I want their house somewhere else on the island.

That it will probably be months before we can terraform. We’ll likely have to naturally progress in the game to unlock it and I hate to think that that could be a while

I feel as if they already addressed the ability to place already placed homes/buildings anywhere as an upgrade from NL so on top of picking where they go, you have the freedom at any point to move it as you see fit : ) I guess we'll see when it releases but this does seem to be the consensus I could be wrong though haha.

I feel a little worried about what do first and how to set up my island. Maybe it’s more like overwhelmed to make it amazing because of all the new features...changing terrain... outdoor furniture. I just want it all the look sooo good.

I don’t have to worry that much about layout thanks to terraforming. I am worried that the island won’t be big enough to contain all my ideas.

I’m also worried that villagers personalities and dialogue will be just as shallow as they were in new leaf. I just want them to be true to their personalities. Crankys and snootys especially
