I'm the only 2C so far!

I got it mostly from my dad's side-- both the waviness and the coarseness. My mom has less wavy and thinner hair. Honestly it's such a struggle washing my hair primarily because I need a lot of conditioner to really soften it; without good conditioner it ends up kinda rough and I don't like the feeling. That's why I'm super picky with my conditioner especially when I'm out of town.

It doesn't help that it's so hot here, so my hair tends to dry out resulting in an even rougher texture :[ I put hair oils often so it smoothens a lil bit. Also my hair is so thick that it takes so long for stylists to dry my hair out, but on the plus side I don't need a volumizer!

Where's the button for nightmare hair?

I have some that are curled to a supertight, tiny coil. I can pull a short coil out to a way longer piece than expected, and it springs back.

But then- the nightmare. It looks a mess because the curl pattern isn't consistent, at all, and i'll have a short coil right next to a longer, less coiled piece, and then there's a straightish, wavy piece mixed in. So it looks really rough. But then if i straighten it, all of those pieces match up in length.

And it depends on the humidity! More humidity = more curly. So it doesn't curl the same every day.

It looks decent when straightened, but if there's any amount of humidity, much less gasp - rain! It'll start to shrink, curl, and poof up rq. And it's really fine, so almost any amount of product weighs it down. Ugh. I'm kind of glad I'm to the point where i don't really care anymore what it looks like.
