I have straight and thick hair. Similar to Corrie's, its not that the strands are thick, but the fact that we have to many hair strands ;~; I've torn so many hair ties throughout the years D:

My hair is very thick and mostly straight but does start to curl at the ends as it grows out. I spike up the bangs a bit with pomade and have the sides pretty short.

In high school (back during those edgy years) I thought the ends looked like devil horns so I’d let em grow out on the sides. Definitely cringey to think about now lol

My hair is really straight except for the front pieces. When it's humid, rains, or I just wash it they curl up a lot

I have the straightest hair you will ever see. It's also on the thinner side, and as a result when I was little I had the flattest hair ever. It was also pretty short and I looked kinda like a mini karen lol
Now it's gotten better and it's not so flat since I layered it.

I don't brush my hair as much as I should, but I guess it's pretty straight Unlike me lmao
It's also pretty thick, so it becomes greasy after a day or so ;-;

When I was getting my hair done this past Thursday, my hairdresser said my hair was pretty wavy, more so at the ends than anything. I tend to get an intense curl at the ends LOL. When I asked her about the texture, she had told me the hair strands are like, in between thin/thick, but I have so many strands it always feels thick. Basically what you said in the OP ahaha~ My mom has such thin hair and she's so jealous of how thick mine can get ;w;

I have thick straight dark brown hair. It has always been a pain to try and style it in any way lol.

I have thin curly dark brown hair. It astonishes me how the majority of the users in this forum have straight hair! I wonder what their ethnicities are and how ethnicity is linked to your hair texture.

Hair has been studied quite a bit, and it's one of the few things where there are some truly objective differences observed among the ethnicities. Asians normally have straight hair, Europeans straight to wavy, Jews wavy to curly, African Americans curly to kinky. Since we're on a forum where most people are of European descent, I'm not surprised most poll results are straight to wavy.

It's important to get the right hair care products for your hair type. Though I'm of European descent, my hair is on the extreme end of wavy (2c); it's almost curly, and I used to classify it as such for many years before learning of the classification system:

Many of the standard hair care products for "white" people don't work well for me; since I'm on the extreme end of wavy (2c), I need lots of extra conditioner so my hair doesn't get too dry or frizzy. I've found argan oil works wonders, and if I put leave-in conditioner with that after washing my hair (with both shampoo and conditioner), my waves stay hydrated and get far less frizzy.

Oh my gosh ugh
My hair as a kid used to be slightly wavy, but the waves didn't really show up my shoulders (which was a little weird but that was the normality of my hair I guess) now it's really straight.
I cut it short so it's chin-length, I've been trying plopping methods, using a light-weight shirt instead of a towel since the fabric is different and isn't as damaging to the hair I believe. Forgive me I do forget.
Anyway, using methods to try to get some natural curls out, using volume products, scrunching my hair, twisting it, leaving it in the shirt for an hour, just air-drying. And to no avail, my hair does not curl BUT i do get some volume in me hair <3

I think I was surprised because people of European descent don't always have straight/wavy hair, as some of they have curly hair as well. I think people of European descent from countries like England or Germany tend to have straight hair, while other countries like France, Spain, Ireland, and Italy are more prone to curly hair than England or Germany. That's why I though there would be more wavy and curly hair.

I have thin curly auburn hair, it doesn’t look really thin though because it’s curly but it’s very messy in the mornings which bothers me and it takes forever to grow longer

My hair is now straight. It used to be slightly curly.

It's also very thick and there is just so much of it, even though I feel like I shed quite a bit on a day-to-day basis.

I have curly and thick hair sometimes and it’s a hassle to maintain so I keep it up.
Sometimes I get it straightened.
