What is your island's name?

I posted this in another thread somewhere but my island is named for my dearly departed white cat who lived with me nearly 14 years. Pooky + utopia. I'll never forget you old friend. (That's him in my avatar picture. Going to put him on my flag once I figure out how to do that.)

very super cool one: Kokoni Bay ; which is a variation of konikoni city from pokémon

Mine is named Konoko, I even had this town name from New Leaf, it's something I picked out the name on my own, mainly because I like the nature feel of a japanese environment, and it has a mixture of Totoro in it, something around that type of theme for why I picked it

Koko Bay

I had no idea what to call it when I first started, but it really fits

My first island is called Hiatus. Who doesn't want to have a break from reality? I found it to be a fitting name for a "getaway island".

My second island is called Mystique. I just liked the ring of the name.

i named my island fruit cup. i wanted to make an island that was cutesy, colourful, and a little childish so i thought this was a fun and fitting name. some other ideas i toyed with were lunch box and crayon box.

My island is named Eureka. Because I racked my brain for weeks prior for a good island name and I realized that the thing I would shout upon finding it sounded pretty cool and unique for an island so there we go.

In New Leaf, my island was Oranje because I love oranges. So I named my island in New Horizons San Goiaba (Saint Guava) to run with the fruit theme (I also love guavas) and as a homage to the cities in California I used to call home (since a lot of towns and cities in CA have San, meaning saint, in their name).

Hello everyone. I’m getting ready to start a new island, and while I have my name picked out already, I was really curious to see what everyone else has named their islands as well as why.

As for me, my first island is named Necluda after the region in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I just like the way it sounds and it reminds of the word “secluded” which is a good way to describe a deserted island.

My new island that I am getting ready to start is going to be called Laverre, named after the town in the Pokémon series. Laverre City is a city build underneath a giant tree, so kind of nature-like and I just love the way it sounds.

My island is called Phantasy island and my partners is Neverland :)

mine is everland! i named it partly because it’s like neverland, but also because i thought the “ever” part sounded kind of dreamy (i also know and love the amusement park in seoul that’s also named everland, but i wasn’t trying to make a connection between it and my island)

i am still pretty happy with the name but i do sometimes wish i could change it or i had named my island something a little more earthy/foresty than frilly bc my island turned out a little different than my original vision (that i based my island name on). back when i was uninspired with my island and wanted to restart/reset so that i could decorate and theme all over again, i remember really wishing i could just rename and flatten everland so that i wouldn’t have to lose my progress with museum stuff, catalogs, recipes, etc.

i’m pretty content now though! i’ve gotten back into the game and i’ve been slowly redoing and improving parts of my island and changing up the theming little by little (going for a springcore island this time! i’m also so excited for the extra 50 design slots we’re getting soon and i know that they’ll help me decorate even more) so i’ve reignited that spark in me and i’m ok with my island name again!

You all have nice island names. I just named mine Cedar Cove.

Cedar Cove like the Debbie Macomber series?

Ah! I loved Everland! So much cuter than Disneyland, imo. 🥰

Billington-An all-duck island with ten duck bills and also an entire duck named Bill
St.Hubbins-Named after David St.Hubbins from the movie Spinal Tap and also the actual St.Hubbins who was the patron saint of quality footwear.

You say that like yours isn't a nice name too! (It is, assuming you have some cedar trees, otherwise you're a liar XD)
I'm not a liar, honest. I have ONE cedar tree.

No lol, there's a woodsy cedar area with a bonfire. I recreated it from my NL days, but better. I might've went overboard though.

Cedar Cove like the Debbie Macomber series?
I've never even heard of that series. I was just thinking of something that sounded coastal, naturesque/homey, and not really out there (in case I ended up not liking it eventually)

my island is named Palplace, which I honestly think is a little lame-ish, but it always makes me smile.

I chose this name for my town in City Folk when I was 10-11 years old, and I was CRAZY about pokémon, I'm assuming I was thinking of Pallet Town when I chose the name lol (which doesn't make much sense now that I'm writing it down, but 10yr old me knew so....yeh) I'm actually seeing that quite a few people have town names inspired by pokémon! I also must have thought that I was a genius because the town was a place filled with pals (my native language isn't English mind you so yeah, young genius)

I chose the name again for New Leaf, and now again for New Horizon. I kinda wanted a new name this time, but couldn't bring myself to do so. Palplace it is!

Sounds like a great place pals can go.

Hello, i've had my island on animal crossing for about a year now and it's called Wonderland. Half of it is mario themed and the rest are my beaches and forests. I rarely let random people come on but my friends and I all play a few hours each day and go to each others island to have fun! We dance, use instruments and try to make our own janky music with silly programs and video editing.

I can't think of a better way to spend time during this lockdown business, and i'm grateful for my friends and the time we have together to do such things amongst college and work and life in general. I don't currently have a job but i'm seeking out part time work and have an interview next week, fingers crossed!

when i first got the game i was so stressed about finding an island name, but i knew i wanted to go with a real life island name and preferably something that starts with my first letter! only because i think it sounds cool when it says ''hussein from hisaka''! but yes my island is named after a real one in japan :)
