I've made a poll for your favourite personality type but I want to know your least favourite too!

My favourite is the cranky personality. I never cared for them much in previous games, but there's something about them in New Horizons. They're not so mean anymore, but they come out with some really funny dialogue. My favourite dialogue in the whole game is when a cranky villager talks about worrying they'd left the stove on at home (I think?), then wondering if they even have a stove at all, and finishing it with "pretty sure I got a home at least."

My least favourite is peppy. I find their over-excited dialogue and obsessing over fame so annoying!

What about you?

I have a few I like, cranky, normal, snooty, lazy and peppy. If I were a villager I'd be a lazy one :'D I like how the characters for each personality type fit the personality so well, like Dobie, who's my favourite grumpy grandpa wolf. I don't however like the uchi or jock personalities though. Uchi I slightly prefer more than jock, but they just rub me the wrong way. I think aesthetically I don't like most of the villagers in those personality types either so I don't think that helps :'D

Lazy. I like it the most because of the funny dialogue and the interesting designs many of them have. Currently, my island has 5 of them! Its the only personality I can still in multiples.

My least favourite would have to be jock. I wish that personality type was more than just muscles and working out.

I can't really pick just one. I enjoy Jocks, Lazy, Normal, and Peppy.

Peppy - Very cheerful, funny, and extremely friendly. BFF material. I don't really care for their stereotypical popular teenage-girl like talk, but I can look past it for the fun of it.

Lazy - Always been one of my favorites in Animal Crossing. They have a very laid back personality. New Horizons seems to have taken them in a slightly new direction, but they still make good friends to have around. I don't really care for their odd talk of bugs, but I love their talk of snacks/food

Jocks are very controversial for many players here, but I find them to be funny with their exaggerated talk of their workouts. Like how they say they want to walk laps around the island until they've walked the distance of the moon. The moon being 238900 miles away means they would have to walk 2389 miles a day every day for 100 years. ;). They also like to say they did an exaggerated amount of reps like it was nothing, example 1000+ crunches in a workout. They also remind me of how I miss going to gym pre-pandemic. I enjoy their letters too. Maybe the key is finding the right jock. Truffles was my first Peppy, and made me seriously hate the peppy personality until I got Bianca.

Normal - They're a bit like the lazy personality where they are very kind and chill, and make good friends.

ETA:

-- Most least. --

Uchi: I really like Fuchsia, but the overall personality just doesn't appeal to be.

Snooty: I guess a little boring.

Smug: Like Uchi, I can't say there is anything to like about them.

Cranky: The male counterpart to Snooty.

I picked Cranky as favorite, but it is hard to pick just one.

The Cranky are so funny. I also very much enjoy the smug.

The lazy are really cute, I have Wade and he makes me laugh. Teddy is my jock and he is fun.

I love the peppy, they are so bright and cheerful. The normal are sweet but can be a bit boring. The snooty are sweet to.

The only one I really don't like is the sisterly. I am not sure why but I don't care for them.

in previous gens i loved lazy personalities the best, but for nh they have my least favorite dialogue. the little running bit about their "bug friends" just doesn't hit for me.
Yeah I agree. I do love the lazys, and Stitches is still my favourite villager of all time, but I don’t like the bug-talk either.
I dislike normal villagers the most. They're all so boring to talk to!
It’s sad how boring the normal villagers actually are because so many of them are so cute.

i love them all but smug is by far the funniest personality, i love hearing them talk about how amazing they are because that is literally me all the time 😂 i'm very annoying irl haha

i think my least favourite is normal, i love normal villagers and there's soo many cute ones but they're well boring

I voted for snooty as its the personality that has really grown on me while playing New Horizons, I'd always thought I wouldn't be keen on the personality as I imagined the villagers would come across as obnoxious and cold but I've since found snooty villagers to be kind and caring. They're also often viewed as rude and hard to befriend but I've not found any difficulties with getting them to warm up to my character and I find them to be interesting villagers. I also really like the normal, smug and cranky personalities though - the normal personality might seem a little boring compared to some others but they're some of my favourite villagers while I really like the traits of the smug and cranky villagers.

As for least favourite it is probably the jock personality, closely followed by the uchi personality. I'm not a fan of how obsessed the jocks are with fitness and health, they're obviously very good things to focus on but I don't want to be constantly seeing/listening to it while playing my game. While I often find uchi villagers to be quite blunt and not overly likeable but maybe I haven't given them enough of a chance. It also probably doesn't help that there aren't many villagers under those two personalities that I really like.

My top favorite personalities are Cranky and Smug. Right now I have 3 smug villagers (Chops, Zell, Pietro) and 2 cranky villagers (Apollo, Cyd) but I definitely would like to have one more cranky, ideally I'd like to have Hamphrey :3 smug villager send really funny mail and cranky dialog just cracks me up because they always talk about how old they are, yet they look adorable lol

My least favorites are Jock and Lazy personalities. I simply don't connect with them or find what they say any fun or entertaining (with one exception, Filbert once had the most amazing dialogue about how it all seemed like a simulation and he was breaking the 4th wall) but it was just that one time and it never happened again.

I don't know if I strictly have a favourite personality as such, but I love so many of the lazy villagers whereas it's difficult for me to find an uchi I like - I think that's more down to design than actual personalities, though. if I had to pick I'd probably say smug is my favourite, while jock is arguably my least fave (I could do with slightly less muscle talk thanks)

As much as I like cranky personalities a lot, I love jocks. I just find them to be really funny and they always seem to make me laugh (or disturbed).

I'm not even a workout junkie but I find their personality is so endearing yet terrifying at the same time.

Least is definitely normals. I just don't like their dialogue content. The majority of them are cute but that's pretty much it.

I agree! I have Mallary on my island and I love her. I thought she was uchi for the longest time because she was so... nice? 😂

Sisterly is my top favorite, though I usually seem to be the only one who feels that way 😟 Seriously, I see them get more dislike and hate then any other personality and I don't get it at all. But I may take it personally because I feel like that's what my personality would be. I just find them endearing and sweet- they can come off as tough, but are actually very caring and nurturing deep down.

As for least favorite... I really don't have one. I like to have every type of personality (still blows my mind some people DON'T) to keep things more diverse and interesting.
