i hear it everyday and all i hear is something along the lines of "my wife left me for my tractor" and it gets annoying really quick

i listen to it sometimes, its a bit of a guilty pleasure lol. some country songs are cringy (the "i love my tractor" kind lol) but some are really nice or beautiful, also the older stuff is nice. i listen to a lot of folk and sometimes it can sound really similar and i think theres a folk sub genre in country idk??
also i love shania twain taylor swift and john meyer so

True. I'd probably have to be no on modern hillbilly stuff, but there are some older good stuff that actually got nice lyrics. Wish I could remember anything good here and now, but I used to watch this tv show where people interpret the cool kind of country and there were some real good ones.

But yeah those "lol imma love my tractor and run my girl over with it when she's done" or something like no. Also stuff like that banjo song WHY.
