What is your town theme?

I don't really have a town theme as I just like to make my island feel as natural as it can get. But perhaps with the 2.0 update, I should start thinking of more themes to add to my island as it's time for a long overdue change for me.

Im going for a regular town feel with mostly blue and green, part of me wants to go full green but i feel like there a tiny bit less green than blue items
Edit: its also a bird only island but i dont really have like a bunch of bird items around or anything like that. Idk why i chose birds lol

Mine is a fishing town, where a huge gas explosion occurred 20 years ago, leaving the island uninhabited until now. It's also veeeery loosely modeled after the town I grew up in. The island needs a lot of work still, but I hope to cover it with the white of sand and brown of rusty iron.

My island theme is tropical island resort. Obviously, my island is always set in the summer. I hate snow in Animal Crossing and in real life.

My favourite childhood game, Link's Awakening. Mostly Mabe village and Animal village, but basically Koholint as a whole, if it had survived and how it might look today with the new generations.

my island is... very... islandy. and... sorta... jungly. not very jungly. the lack of tree variety and such makes it not possible to do what I really want, honestly. but I'm just trying to work with what I've got.
as a result, I'm sure it could be perceived as boring, but it makes things simple for me and I like things to be simple.

Personally I don't like the idea of a "theme" I feel it limits what I can do on my island while they're cool I feel I wouldn't be able to commit to one mainly bc I ain't gonna buy another switch just to have a 2nd island <.<

I definitely understand that. You don’t have to limit yourself.
I guess some people find it fun while others find it restricting.
Usually I need something like that to motivate me to actually do stuff in my town, lol

My town is a hot mess 🔥 🙃
  • I have food themed villagers (Zucker, Ketchup, Coco, Merengue, Frita, Chadder)
  • My theme song is that little ditty from Pippa Pig.
  • I am always wearing a fairy costume.
  • There is bamboo and torii gates everywhere.
  • The name is kinda cute (Pokki)
  • I dunno what I'm doing lol

I really like the way the bamboo looks in this game!
I do find that it’s easier to make random areas everywhere because of all the various stuff you end up liking, lol

my island theme is cottage core and i try to give a small garden for each of my villagers (flower garden, farmer, playground etc...), like a small cozy community with a lot of tree. (isabelle don't really like when there are a lot of tree... sorry, isa) Cx

I'm sort of going for fairy tales. I'm not doing it WELL and it's definitely not as in depth as a lot of people's themes - I hate laying paths so I have none >:) I have 3 bears (June, Ike, and Nate) for Goldilocks and the three bears, Freckles for the ugly duckling, Tipper for the cow who jumped over the moon, Maggie for little red riding hood - it used to be Audie, but I wanted Maggie and didn't redo her area ksjfnkaf -, Hazel is a generic Snow White area because she's a squirrel and I love her, Biff is based off the song "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" which isn't a fairy tale but I'm love him, Colton is generic prince, and where I really veer off is Hornsby. I looked up rhinos in stories because I had my theme decided but I loved him so....................... there's a Shel Silverstien book about having a rhino as a pet and so he has a pet shop lololol

my old island is a cottagecore themed one, I just reset my island and was thinking of doing kidcore + rural japanese themed island but I'm already so used of the naturey, cottagecore style so idk if I will really be doing that theme...

I'm aiming for a style based on American coastal towns, paticularly that of Key West, Florida and Venice Beach, Califronia, so I basically put in a lot of palm trees, a road network and a "rich residental area" with houses, where it is reminiscent of Bel Air.

My themes are usually whatever I like. rn I have brick flooring and brown tones, but I have some really colorful areas that make me happy :D I like having mostly neutral tones so I can play with color accents!

I originally thought of a Cthulhu based town with all the octopus villagers and my town flag is based on that character. However, that's only four villagers so the rest are mythology based villagers because I also have Drago.

Yet, I wanted my town to be functional in that it has all the flower types and crops. I had to remove an area that was supposed to be a secret meeting place for Nook and his followers so I could accommodate an area for my crops.
