what kind of dog(s) do you like?

I love all dogs but I would personally not adopt a dog with thick curly hair like a poodle or Maltese because of the maintenance

I like most dogs. I have a Staffordshire bull terrier, which is a controversial breed in the uk, so people tend to think my dog is vicious. Some staffy owners get very upset by the reputation they have, but I quite like it cos it means people stay away from me and my house haha.

One day I will have huskies or malamutes and they will pull me around on a sled, I am determined to make this happen haha

English and French bulldogs, my maternal uncle keep/kept them for a large part of my childhood(he still got one French) and while, sure they have their breathing issues etc. they are cute and playful and owners shouldn't be judged, there are way worse breeds if you want to go that way.

I'm more of a cat person, but I love all dogs 🥺

I definitely would prefer a larger breed (though Corgis, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Bassets make me weak). I have a soft spot for labs as I currently own one and he's the best! My favorite breed would probably be a Doberman. I want to get one one day and name it Anubis. I also really like the Shiba Inu, Springer Spaniel, Basenji, Cirneco dell'Etna. Collie, German Pinscher, Hokkaido, Ibizan Hound, Pharaoh Hound, and Rhodesian Ridgeback.

I definitely wouldn't get a poodle/poodle mix as they are not my cup of tea. Being a vet tech (hopefully vet one day), I'd avoid brachycephalic dogs for the obvious health concerns. Working in a vet clinic has also made me fear GSDs as they're almost always aggressive when they come in (They're just doing their job of protecting and I have nothing against them; I know they're probably completely fine outside of the clinic). I'm working to get over that fear, but I probably still wouldn't personally own one.

While all breeds have their pros and cons, ALL dogs are good dogs. Especially when provided proper training and lots of love. Research should be done before you get a dog to make sure you'll be able to provide the proper environment and enrichment for it. You can't go wrong with owning a dog <3

I like almost all kinds of dogs but I'm inclined to like pitbulls more due to the fact that my only dog was a pitbull mix

I've always wanted a beagle. I'm not sure I have what it takes to properly care for one, but I've always liked them. They're very loyal creatures with beautiful fur patterns and textures, and they perfectly fit within my parameters of neither too big nor too small.

If I were a little younger, I might have also wanted a dalmatian, but that's a very high-maintenance breed and, without proper training that I fear I no longer have the time or patience for, can be rather aggressive.

I love all dogs, but my favorite breed HAS to be the shihtzu

I have two at home and they are so cute and also hypoallergenic! which is nice cause im allergic to dogs but theyre my favorite animals-

Aside from labs I lean more towards small dogs. They’re what I grew up with and they are what I’m the most comfortable around. To this day most large dogs intimidate me.

My favorite breed is the Havanese. They are a small breed from Cuba with curly, fuzzy hair. I’ve had two and they’re incredibly intelligent and sweet. They’re the kind of dog that listens to you intently even though they don’t understand a word you’re saying.

My second favorite are pugs. I love their squishy noses and colors. I used to play with my neighbor’s pugs when I was a kid. They were eccentric and quirky dogs to say the least. When I get my own place I’ll definitely adopt one.

I love all dogs, but I'd say I definitely prefer medium to larger breeds.

That being said, my favorite breed would have to be doberman (super biased, lol). One of the most misunderstood dogs I think... Terrifying to look at but they are absolutely the biggest babies I've ever met.

Mine is super clingy and will do anything to get attention. She is very shy around strangers.. yet loves to be around children. She's a very gentle and curious dog. 7 years old and she still acts like she's 2 sometimes.

I love Rough Collies because they're so fluffy! The movie Lassie Come Home definitely played a part in having them as my favourite dog breed. Shetland Sheepdogs (also known as shelties) are also my favourite. They look a lot similar to rough collies apart from their smaller size, so I don't blame you if you mix them up between the two lol. That being said though, I don't think I'd be capable of taking care of one despite liking dogs so much.

I prefer small dogs, and dogs that don’t shed. I’m allergic to dogs so if they shed I don’t like being around them (plus I hate getting covered in dog hair haha)

My dog is 12 pounds and doesn’t shed so he’s perfect for me!

I love dogs and am an auntie to my sisters and my beautiful friends dogs 🥰

My sis has a golden retriever and she is the most beautiful dog in the world 😍

I absolutely adore my kitty as some people might have guessed 😂. I have the best of both worlds. It is so lovely going out for walks with my doggie nieces. I am very lucky 💞

I really like Huskies they're so pretty. I don't usually like small dogs, but I do like dachshunds. my neighbors have Chihuahuas and I've grown to dislike them. they don't train them and they bark and chase me around. They let them run around the neighborhood and they act aggressive. they try to get into my backyard and i don't like how they scare my bunnies when i let them into my backyard to play. plus one of them is very submissive and whiney and yelps over everything. it sounds like it's in serious pain when it's not. It used to scare me like it was being tortured or something, but I've learned that it's just their personality. not a fan. I really like akita's too their little faces are so cute.

I'm not a dog fan at all, however, I like corgis cause they're short, fat, low to the ground and their stubby legs are super cute. I also like shibas. Their curly tails are so floof!

I am a huge dog lover. One of my favorite animals, domesticated ones, at least.

I've always grown up having German Shepherds, or a mix between a GSD and a Rottweiler. My mom loves Rottweilers, my dad loves GSD's, so whenever we wanted a dog, we'd either get one of the two, or a mix between them. GSD's are my favorite breed, because it's all I've ever had. Very very loyal breed, and they're so lovable and tame. I had someone tell me GSD's can be hostile, and I'm like ?? Only if the owner treats them badly or if they were raised in a bad environment... I've never once been bitten by a German Shepherd, even if it wasn't my own GSD... However, if I had to choose a specific breed... I LOVE big dogs (sad though, the bigger the dog, the shorter the life-span), so it's a toss-up between a Saint Bernard, Great Dane, or OR. Golden Retrievers. I think if I were to be ANY animal, I'd be a Golden. I love Golden Retrievers so very much ;v; Although I've never owned one, I know they're a wonderful breed. Good to have, great companions (as any other dog breed, but... I think Golden Retrievers are known for being one of the best..?)

Anyways! I love Shiba Inus as well, along with Corgis. One that isn't too well known, the Leonberger, and I also love Borzois! They have SUCH LONG SNOUTS!!!

I like pretty much all kinds of dogs. If I had to choose one as a pet, though, I would prefer a smaller one with short fur/hair.

i'm scared of any hound type dogs that arent basset hounds. i was attacked by a racoon hound several times when i lived with my mom that i dont trust them. i want to, but i cant shake the feeling. big dogs in general scare me but ive been around nice ones so its easier to get used to them.

i like pomeranians and basset hounds. corgis are so insanely cute i would jump at the chance to have one but i dont like "buying" pets from breeders, rather just adopting one from a shelter or humane society.

Golden Retrievers are pretty friendly. I pet one once and she licked my face. I was both surprised and a bit happy when that happened (despite my recent history with dogs that I said on a different thread)

golden retrievers are amazing, my boy is the loveliest boy ever and I've never met a golden that I didn't like 😭 💛
