What New species of villager would you like to see?

(sorry i'm posting so much on this thread i love creature talk)

i can't really see raccoons becoming a species, other than the obvious reason (tom nook being closely related and being a main face of animal crossing) they don't have much physical variety to them. unless they broaden it to procyonidae and include like coati, ringtails, kinkajous, and cacomistles they're going to have to get really creative with that one.

then again they included a german shepherd and an african wild dog under "wolf" so you never know.

I've always wanted there to be different types of dogs, but I guess they just did that to distinguish the animals in one category rather than confusing it.

i'd love more dog variety, i really don't like the current dog models' bean shaped heads. butch is cute but they're a really sad excuse for a rottweiler lmao.

it'd be nice if we could get breeds with upright ears that wouldn't look right being wolves, like dobermans or bostons or shiba inus. it's a shame that the only chihuahua was a one-time npc too.

Bats but they're nocturnal and only come out when the sun is down.

Lizards, platypuses, ferrets.

If anything, I really want female lions.

But yea I thought that was a good idea, because cooper is currently the only dog that has perked up ears in the game. I didn't even think about different models like that.

If I could add any new species, it would definitely be bats! There are so many cute things you could do with them in terms of design. My current favourites are cats and deer <3

More marine villagers would be super cool, because there's only the octopi right now I think? They have Pascal and Wendell who are otters and walruses respectively, so it isn't too much of a stretch.

I really want to either see bats or dolphins! A bat named Miffy would be kind of cute as a villager. She could be peppy or snooty, not sure which would work better. But bats would be so cool!

I would love to see more aquatic animals, like dolphins and sharks. It would be super cute. (Kinda weird though, since you can catch sharks...but we won’t think about that). I also would love to see dinosaurs, even though we get their fossils. I just love dinosaurs and it would add such unique designs. Maybe just lizards. I really hope the bat thing was true, because that would be so awesome.

I would also love to see more unique animals using what designs we have now. Like maybe more dragons, or different species of big cats and what not.

I love elephants and hamsters. I honestly like them all except for the mouse and gorilla.

My favourite villager species is frogs (shocker, I know). I would love to see more marine villagers as other people mentioned, or turtles! Maybe unlikely because of Tortimer and Kapp'n but they could make them look a bit different, I think they would be adorable.

I want bats, but if they do add bats, do you think they should look like microbats, megabats, or a mix of the two?

(Microbats are the little bats with big wrinkly noses and smushed faces, megabats are the big bats with longer muzzles and a fox-like face.) Microbats are more likely, they're what most people think of when they hear the word bat, but I'm hoping that if they are added, they look like megabats or like a mix of the two!

Also I'd love for a second version of cat or bunny, kinda like how there are both bears and cubs. Maybe a longhair cat or a lop ear bunny? Yeah I'd like lop ear bunnies...

I love a lot of the species of animals, but my favorite would be the cats. Also, the bats, ferrets, and lizard ideas are pretty neat. So I would go with those. Especially the bats.

FISH PEOPLE. if we can have an octopus there is NO REASON why i can't have sharks and whales and starfish and pufferfish and squids and eels!!!! give me fish!!!

For a proper new species? Maybe a red panda/raccoon hybrid. That could be confusing with young children in the West, though- the tanuki Nooks, and all. I just love the look of these little guys so much! A prairie dog or capybara could also be really adorable.

But I’d love an overhaul on the Dog species. Dogs come in so many unique shapes and breeds like schnuazers, pugs, and greyhounds are very popular and can’t be represented with the current model. A few small features, like adding a beard or smushing/elongating the head, could go a long way in representing a lot of different dogs.

Definitely a bat. Maybe one would get shy and cover his/her face with their vampiric wings and it'd look really cute to me. Maybe a fox too, but wolves look pretty similar already.
