For myself, it is the Nintendo DS.

The GBA was an awesome system, but I mainly played it for Pokemon and the Finding Nemo game. When the DS arrived, (I still mainly played for Pokemon) I was blown away with its dual screen, and playing Pokemon Diamond. I thought "man, I'm experiencing the future of Pokemon right here." I have so many fond memories of playing the games and doodling in pictochat, while never really dabbling in the online features. Many of my favorite games are from the DS as well! Super Mario 64 DS, Pokemon Platinum, Pokemon White 2, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, Chrono Trigger, more recently, Animal Crossing: Wild World, and New Super Mario Bros.

So forum, what Nintendo System are you most nostalgic for?

I will always say the Nintendo 3DS. It was my first Nintendo handheld and pretty much my favorite console made by them in general. I have fond memories of homebrewing my consoles to play games I previously didn't have access to and installing cool apps and themes and everything...unfortunately, I don't have them anymore. ;w;

I have my Switch to "replace" them since my parents wouldn't want to get me another old and discontinued console (which is understandable at this point), but it just doesn't feel the same. No menu music, no themes, no nothing. D: And I can't believe how I lost my last one to my dad... I know it's two years ago, but it still boils my blood to this day. 😡

So...yeah. This is me rambling about the 3DS. Maybe in the future, I'll get myself an N3DS XL to make up for what happened in the past...

Definitely DS, that's my childhood. Especially with the GBA slot, that's like all of my gaming nostalgia. Specifically DS Lite.

I actually got my first DS with Wild World. Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky is also peak gaming. And Pokémon Black/White too.

Probably the 3ds and the Wii, in my opinion those two were the best ones! The Wii was iconic, too bad the Wii u wasn't lol

No joke I think the 3DS is one of the best Nintendo handhelds like ever, and I know I might have rose-tinted glasses obviously but it has a great library, backwards compatible with OG DS which has a massive amount of games, 3D effect is cool even if most people don't care for it, great 1st party selection, homebrewing is great, and like so much more.

The Wii and DS family. The DS was my first ever gaming system, and Pokemon Diamond (I think) was my first game. I distinctly remember picking Dawn and Piplup on my first run, and I somehow had enough common sense to beat Roark at the age of 4.

Oh man, I have to pick one?
Uh...

Probably the DS as well. I'm extremely nostalgic for the GBA SP, GameCube, and Wii but there was nothing I played more than the DS.

Probably the DS because it was my first one. Technically I experienced the NES first but it wasn't mine and I only have this vague memory of being allowed to try Super Mario Bros.
Some games on the GBA, Wii, GameCube, and even somehow the 3DS and Wii U give me nostalgia but I feel like it's stronger with the DS, especially Pokemon Diamond/Pearl and New Super Mario Bros.

DS, Wii, and the 3DS of course.

DS and Wii are simply peak when it comes to Nintendo games, and the DS is of course my very first Nintendo console I actually owned since I was used to the PS1 and PS2 before I got the DS for my birthday. The DS also had lots of great games and the Wii have classics such as MKWii, Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports, and more.

DS as it was my first console as a kid. GBA does deserve an honourable mention though, I never had one as a kid (though I have 2 SPs and a Micro as an adult) but I played GBA games on my DS as much as I played DS games. Even though they were older and lacked dual screen usage I never considered GBA games inferior to DS games.

This award is going to have to go to the GameCube. It wasn't my first game system (my first was the Super Nintendo, and that one gets a lot of nostalgia points as well), but ultimately I put more hours into that GameCube than any system before or since.

I sold some of my belongings on eBay to buy the GameCube when I was 8 (yes, really--my mom helped!) and played it almost daily for years. Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, Sonic Adventure/Sonic Adventure 2, Naruto: Clash of Ninja, Lego Star Wars, The Two Towers, Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure . . . sooooo many good games. Plus the GameCube had probably my favorite controllers of any system from any company.

The Super Nintendo, GameCube, Nintendo DS, and Wii are the ones that are old enough to fall under "nostalgia" for me. I was an adult when I got a 3DS, so everything from then on occupies a different mental category, at least for now.

The Wii. I can’t believe it’s almost (or maybe even surpassed) 20 years old. Played my first ever game on that console, that being Mario Kart Wii.

Good times.

The DS and 3DS. The DS was the first real console I owned and it introduced me to many of my favorite Nintendo series. I got it very late into the console's lifespan, so I replaced it for an original 3DS when that released in 2011. It was the first console I partially raised money for and I spent an absurd amount of time playing on it. The graphics weren't very good and the 3D effect was hard on my eyes, but there were so many great games on that system and I put a ton of time on it. Going back to DS and 3DS games gives me a small warm feeling because I now find the style of graphics on those systems charming even if they are super pixelated.

It has to be the Nintendo 64 for me, but the GameCube is a close second. The NES and SNES were my first Nintendo consoles, and I did enjoy them, but I was much too young to even remember them that well. All I remember from the NES is playing Super Mario Bros. with my dad and Duck Hunt with my brother, and I barely remember the SNES at all. We definitely had one, but I guess I was too busy with the NES and Sega Genesis to care about it much.

The Nintendo 64 was the first console we got that I was old enough to have a lot of memories of, and I played it for many years. My favorite games were Super Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie, and both of them are still high in my ranking of favorite games. I still play both of them from time to time on the Switch. Aside from those two games, I put a lot of time into Super Mario Party 3, Pokémon Snap, and Pokémon Stadium as well. I also liked playing GoldenEye 007 with my brother. I remember finding a spot on one of the maps where I could just sit and wait until my brother came around the corner and easily shoot him. It made him really annoyed, which was hilarious. He's six years older than me, so any time I could actually win against him as a kid was great. I also dabbled a bit in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Mission: Impossible, but those were mainly my brother's games, and I didn't make it very far in either. I think I was still too young to figure those two out. In addition to those, another of my brother's games was some wrestling game that he always managed to convince me to play with him, despite the fact that I had no interest in wrestling and usually lost.

And for the GameCube, my honorable mention, I have fond memories of playing games like Super Mario Sunshine, Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, Luigi's Mansion, and Pikmin

i will always have a special place in my heart for my little brick of a Nintendo 64, it was the first home console that I ever owned (i did have a gameboy ice at the time which I also loved) and I grew up with it and played and beat so many games with it. It also went through a couple of moves and was dropped a few times and still worked perfectly. I can still play it all these years later with no issues (it's a 27 year old console whoaa) I could never part with it honestly. I can play the 1st version of LoZ on it with the unedited music and Ganandorf blood. I also do prefer the way MM looks with it too. So many good memories honestly.
