I prefer sleeping on my stomach, because it feels the most natural to me.
However, I know that sleeping on my back would, by far, be the best position for my body. The negative of sleeping on your back is that it's worse if you have problems inside your body (like breathing), but since I don't have such problems, the orthopedical benefits of sleeping on my back would be really worthwhile. It would help reduce or eliminate pain in my body that is caused by the sleeping position (sleeping on your side would be arguably even worse though!).
Maybe I'll try a bit harder to sleep on my back, but it just feels like the most unnatural/uncomfortable sleeping position to me...
I move around constantly in my sleep. I’ve even managed to rip off the sheets from the mattress and the mattress cover as well and I’ll wake up with everything in a giant ball at the bottom of my feet.
I think I used to really enjoy sleeping on my belly when I was a little kid. (I don't know that tummy time was a thing my parents knew about when they were raising me, but I guess I wanted to so my own tummy time haha). I think I also enjoyed the fetal position to some extent. And there was a period of time where I finally learned to sleep more on my back and just to stay still and not move around very much because I thought that might be better for my neck and back. But recently I've been side sleeping a lot more. Part of that is because my boyfriend sleeps on his side and I like to cuddle with him. He sleeps on his side because he snores less on his side. And then I finally, after many years of snoring, took a sleep study just to check. And I'm so glad, because I don't actually have sleep apnea! I've had a lot of friends ask me over the years, because I do snore, if I have sleep apnea, so I was always just a little bit worried because of just how many friends would bring it up to me. Anyway, the result of the sleep apnea test was that they told me sometimes when I lay on my back, I have very borderline sleep apnea so, their recommendation was to sleep on my side more!
I like sleeping in all of the positions listed. I prefer my stomach, but unfortunately for some reason my back always ends up hurting in the middle of the night and I have to move. I think the mattress is too soft and I sink in, making my back arch or something. My favorite one after that would be my side. It's comfy, allows me to hug a stuffed animal or pillow which I enjoy, and helps me not to snore.
mostly on my side as i find it most comfortable, every now and then i’ll sleep on my back but i roll around quite a bit so usually by the end i’ve ended up back on my side. i’ve never really been able to sleep on my stomach though for some reason.
I voted for all three because that's just what tends to happen skgdkgfk. I can often fall asleep on my side or stomach, but I find that I've sometimes woken up on my back lol. I can also fall asleep on my back, though it's usually my last option.
