I'm creating a story and have been stuck on deciding powers for one of my characters who is based off of a constellation. I'd appreciate the help! And I kinda just would like to hear what powers you'd think they'd have. Personally I think they would have something to do with gravity maybe!

Before I even finished reading your post, I was also thinking gravity! If I can think of anything else, I'll come back to post, but I think gravity sounds like a pretty cool power for a constellation.
Hmm. Gravitational powers would be a perfect fit for a black hole-based character. I was thinking about materialisation powers for constellation-based characters since we humans make wishes to falling stars or stars in the sky and imagine if those stars can materialise our wishes into reality. It would be cool! Sorta like Green Lantern from DC comics. They green lanterns use their courage and bravery to materialise whatever is in their minds.
The character can use cosmic or star power to materialise abstract ideas. Just a suggestion

What immediately comes to my mind would probably be to create shooting stars coming from the sky and using them like projectiles like some sort of magical girl anime.

I really love the whole wishing on the stars idea!! Perhaps a character can have the power of a "shooting star," and grant wishes for others. It would be cool seeing that. How do you think stardust would have play in this? I was thinking they'd sprinkle stardust or something LOL
@LadyDestani Haha great that we are on the same page! I was thinking that too, maybe like a gravitational pull type of power or they are able to change the weight of other's gravity?
@trashpedia That's so cute! I could definitely see that being a power. Pretty powerful too! Imagine a whole bunch of stars zooming down on people, ouch!
@Ansel I did! I was reading up on the Serpens constellation and I'll be honest....I did not know that Serpens fell under the zodiac group of Scorpio....
@Millysaurusrexjr Radiation burst is pretty cool! and on the exploding part could maybe correlate with an exploding star? Maybe it can explode the enemies body from inside? Dunno, just a thought haha.

Since the character can use power of a "shooting star", let the stardust be how the the character can use the power of flight. When the character is flying around leaving a trail of stardust, it will look like the "tail" of a "shooting star"

I can think of two anime characters with gravitational powers if you wanted to check them out for reference or ideas.
Uraraka from My Hero Academia has a Zero Gravity ability which lets her make things float, including herself.
Chuuya Nakahara from Bungou Stray Dogs also has the ability to manipulate gravity but he tends to use it in much more devastating ways than Uraraka, which includes creating black holes.
I feel like what the constellation would be could also help factor in with this question! I feel as if every constellation out there tends to have some background story, and so ultimately that could be used to determine the power? It’s the same way I feel about basing characters off of astrology signs, like how a Leo based character would probably have fire-like powers and a super confident personality and so on!
