What REALLY Happened To Me

May 15, 2005

I'm reaching Noria. I will be there in 20 minutes. So far, the trip has gone smooth, without any interference from Humanus ships. Although, I almost had a run in with a Humanus Warship. It was a very close call, though. I barely made it past undetected.

I'm now over the planet Noria. What a beautiful planet. But, what really caught my eye was the giant circular structure. The databanks told me that this was a dimensional portal generator, which could take Humanus ships to any dimension.

While viewing the planet, I had recieved a message from the planet. Norian officials have given me permission to land. Seeing no downside, I landed the ship. Outside the ship, Norian soldiers were escorting me to the laboratory where the dimensional portal creator was being developed for me.

Once I arrived at the lab, I was then escorted by scientists to a giant room. I assumed that this was a testing room, because of the lack of equipment. They gave me the dimensional portak creator, which was the size of a watch. I was able to integrate it on my right wrist. All of it seemed compatable with my technology. I then tried it out. It worked! I found a way home! Now, all I had to do was get away from the scientists and open the portal. "Okay thanks, I'll be going now." I heading for the door when I was stopped by two Norian soldiers. "Sorry Smart Tech, but you're not going anywhere." A powerful electric shock went through my systems. I then lost conciness.

Meanwhile, while I was out cold, the scientist, whose name was Dr. Kranon, was contacting the Emperor. Suprisingly, he said that I took the dimensional portal generator, and flew out into space. He did not tell him that I was still on Noria. The Emperor told Dr. Kranon that I might be hiding on L-1, which his ships were going. The Dr. bid his farewells to the Emperor and ended the transmission.

While waking up, my systems were able to pick up what happened. I then asked Dr. Kranon, "Why did you lie to your Emperor?" The Dr. replied, "He is a fool. The Empire is collapsing from the inside out, and he does not realize it. I want to put a stop to it and create a better way of uniting, a Federation that will not conquer, but bring peace to the galaxy." The Dr. then went to the window, and said: "Smart Tech, I need you to help me. The Emperor's tyranny has lasted long enough. Help me take him down. If you do that, I'll grant you passage home."

I had reached a crossroad right here. Not literally, of course. But if I should help him or not. For all I know, I could be looking at this the wrong way, and he could be worse than the emperor. But, knowing all of the things that the Humanus Empire had done, he may actually be telling the truth, and wanting to see a better future. If anything, we both had one thing in common: to stop the emperor. I told Dr. Kranon that I would help him bring down the empire. He thanked me, and put me in a guest room. I secretly hacked into his database, and he was telling the truth. After reviewing his personal files, he did want to bring down the Emperor. He could not stand to see races enslaved, planets destroyed, and countless lives lost with no regret. So, I then I knew what I had to do. Face trhe Emperor and his fleets, and bring peace to this part of the galaxy.

OOOOH! I love plot twists.

:) This is very well-written.

Battle ready, I was not leaving Noria to confront the Humanus ships. They must've detected me because we encountered each other before I reached L-1. I remember passing a ship. The ship must've told them about my location.

The fleet waiting for me was humongous. I spotted 20 major warships, wating to fire on me. I even saw the emperors vessel, behind the cover of the warships. I was starting to wonder if I could make it out of this alive.

"Fire!" Said the Emperor. Before I knew what hit me, a phaser blast from one of the ships almost took out my left arm. Engaging shields, I went to attack the first ship. I readied my plasma cannon and shot at the engine. Success! It was destroyed. Another ship nearby fired a photon torpedo at me. I took some damage, but with my shields up, I survived. I fired my plasma cannon at the attacking ship. No luck. I tried an ion blast. The blast disrupted the shields. I then quicky fired the plasma cannon. The ship wasn't destroyed, but all weapons were offline. It was good enough.

13 ships to go. After taking out almost two, I started to think that I couldn't do it. It was just too much. Then, I had an idea. Take out the emperor's ship. He was on the main flagship of the Humanus Empire. If I took it out, the explosion might be enough to destroy the fleets. Without thinking, I quickly heading to attack the ship. But, one of the warships must have caught on to my plan. The ship engaged a tractor beam and held me in place. I couldn't break it. I knew this was the end.

Suddenly, from out of nowhere, a fleet of Norian ships attacked the vessel that was holding me. I was free! The calvary had arrived! They had the warships busy, so I headed to the Emperors ship, the I.S.S. Terra. When approaching the ship, the Emperor sent me a mesage. It said: "You'll never be able to stop me. No one defies the emperor. Smart Tech, I shall destroy you bit by bit! Surrender now, or be destroyed!"

Instead of listening to him, I continued heading towards the ship. When I got close enough, I fired a blast from my plasma cannon. No luck, the shields held. I tried a ion blast. Still nothing. I used some of the equipment the Norians gave me. I fired off a disruptor beam. The shields were down. I then charged up my anti-matter cannon. This was my most powerful weapon yet. Charging up, I aimed for the bridge, right were the Emperor was. "Smart Tech, you still have time to surrender. Give up now, and I'll give you whatever you want." The Emperor tried his last hand at peace. I replied: "No, and you rule is over!"

*Zap!* From inside the ship, I heard: "Hull breaches in decks 5-15. Warp core not responding. Structural integrity is failing. Plasma leaks all over the ship. Everyone, to escape pods! Abandon ship!"

After that last word, the entire ship exploded. I couldn't believe it. I destroyed it. I then scanned for any remaining life signs. I detected that one pod escaped. The Emperor, he must've escaped. Thanking the Norian fleets for their assistance, I traced the path of the pod. To asteroid L-1. He was going to try and escape into my dimension. I had to stop him.

I hurridely headed to the Luna Sector. Scanning for the pod, I searched every asteroid in the sector. It took a long time, but I still didn't find the pod. I detected a recent opening in dimensional space. It looks like the Emperor has escaped. It's no telling where he could be now. He could be in any dimension. Giving up, I set course back to Noria.

Catching up on news, I learned that after the destruction of the flagship, the Norian fleets had disabled most of the warfleets, and the Empire surrendered. I was wondering why it didn't crush the Norians, and I found out why. During the Norian attacks, Terra was fighting a massive civil war: The Empire on Terra had been divided, and a republic had formed. At first, the Empire held a strong hand, but the Republic had liberated many of the countries around the world, uniting them with the Republic. A few days after the surrender to the Norians, the Empire had collapsed, and the Republic had full control. The Norians, allied with the Republic, are helping the people of Terra to rebuild and repair their lives and planet. The Terra Republic, as it was called, had signed a peace treaty with Noria. They've created a federation with the Norians, The United Species Federation (USF). Together, these two species would seek out new planets, new life, and new civilizations. It looks like my work was done.

When landing on Noria, I spoke with Dr. Kranon. His name really wasn't Dr. Kranon, but Sondon Hunai. Hunai was known as a rebel to the late Empire, and leader of Noria. He disguised himself as Dr. Kranon to recieve Empire technology and information. In the end, it worked, and he was able to reveal his true identity.

After the people of Noria and Terra thanked me, I decided it was time for me to go home. I set course for L-1, where I would use the dimensional generator to return home.

When I arrived at L-1, I had the feeling that I forgot something. I opened the portal, and suprise, a former Empire ship attacked me. The pilot, who was on the reently destroyed flagship, yelled: "You will never defeat the Empire!" I fired my plasma cannon, and the ship was destroyed, pilot and all. But, I wondered, if he was the one who escaped, then is the Emperor really dead? I mean, a escape pod was gone, but he wasn't in one. I dismissed the idea, and headed through the portal, back home.

---------------
Near asteroid 2010-C, about 28,000 miles from the star Alpha Proxima, a esape pod was detected by Space Pirate forces. The person inside was in suspended animation. The Space Pirates did not have any record of where this pod came from, and headed back to their planet, Zebes II.

"Ridlita, we have discovered an unknown space pod in sector 081. We are bringing it back to the planet for further study." Said a Space Pirate Captain. "Very good." Said Ridlita, the daughter of their former leader, Ridley. Unknown to them, the Emperor was already planning the creation of a new Empire. "Yes, take me Pirates." Though the Emperor. "Soon, with your help, the Empire shall be reborn!"

The Story finale. But, will the Emperor build a new empire? These questions have yet to be answered.
