What should I do?

So I've had a pre-order of the Majora's Mask 3D Special Edition (European) since November, and I'm really excited to get my hands on the beautiful poster, the cute Majora pin and the great-looking steelbook (oh, and the game as well). However, recently I've become more and more interested in purchasing a New Nintendo 3DS because my old original 3DS from 2011 is getting really slow. There are some stores in my area offering some good deals on a New 3DS if you hand in your old one. If I were to purchase a New 3DS, I most definitely would not be able to afford that AND the Majora's Mask 3D Special Edition. I don't know which to chose... what would you do?

The Special Edition is really sought after, so I wouldn't cancel it. You'll be stuck with your old 3DS for a while, but you've lasted this long with it. What's a few more months? Just save up until you can trade in your old 3DS and pay whatever else is needed for the New 3DS.

I'd get the special edition, I've got it preordered as well and I think it will be hard to get again and you would regret missing the chance. As said above get a new 3DS in a few months after saving .

Get the MM bundle if you can otherwise I'd save up

Would you really want to give up the special edition just so you can have a 'new' 3DS that isn't really going to be an overall benefit outside of like, 2 currently announced games?


I'm sure you can live without the analog stick and faster load times in MM...

Thank you for your answers! I will probably take your advice and get the Majora's Mask 3D Special Edition, a New 3DS can wait.

I'd go for the normal new 3ds. But I think it all comes down to preference. I don't like the XL versions very much. although I owned a normal dsXL I found it a bit to big for carrying in my pockets.
also I like the faceplates that will come with the standard size n3ds. So if ya like big screens + the design on the MM edition go for that. If ya like to customize yer 3ds and are not to opposed to the idea of having a smaller screen. + ya can always get the LE of the game itself with nice stuff in it c: i'd say go for that.

But then again, it all comes down to your own preference.

The Special Edition is not the Majora's Mask 3DS, but the version that has the game, steelbook, poster, etc.
It's also sold out everywhere. It sold out faster here than the New 3DS MM version did.

If I had made it in time to find the new MM edition 3DS I would have totally bought it because My 4 year old 3DS really needs to be replaced and the MM edition looks sweeeeeet. I want it so bad but I didn't even know it came out and now I doubt I'll be able to find one.

I have been watching people resell the New nintendo 3ds MM version for around $500. It's crazy!

I agree with everyone about... keep your MM special edition, and then find a new system later
