What songs hit you with a wave of nostalgia every time you hear them?

lol i forgot about the gummy bear song

i listened to loads of music when i was younger so songs like:
ain't no way we're goin' home - R5
i used to listen to R5 so much and this was my favourite song by them ♡

mr disco - new order
my sister played this quite often and i loved it, she also made me a bracelet that said "mr disco" but i lost it on holiday 😅

ponponpon - kyary pamyu pamyu
this song was really cute when i was younger, then i watched the video and it was so weird, i'll never forget that video

world is mine - hatsune miku
this one song started my obsession with vocaloid

i don't really listen to these much anymore but i do go back and listen to them sometimes

Same here with the Gummy Bear song. I didn't even remember it until I listened to it again recently.
Also the Duck Song, as well as all those songs from Charlie the Unicorn. (also caramelldansen)

Soundtracks from the Gamecube, Original DS, and Wii eras all hit hard with nostalgia too.

Any song from Disney Channel/Nickelodeon from the mid to late 2000s and early 2010s hit me with nostalgia every time as well.

Oh, and the ENTIRE Club Penguin soundtrack. Every time I listen to songs from that game I cry ;v; (even the SFX make me shed a tear it's so bad). Nostalgia hits hard the most here.

Some "normal" songs that hit with nostalgia would be Party Rock Anthem, Dynamite, Who Let The Dogs Out, I Gotta Feeling, Fireflies, California Gurls, Firework, and MANY others.

oh my gosh i love disney music and owl city is my life atm lol 💕
also i used to think the song firework was called firewood 😅

Wii Sport songs and general Wii soundtrack like the menu, etc.
But for real song, It's My Life from Bon Jovi. It reminds me of when I discovered the internet and Shadow The Hedgehogs AMV in the late 2000s
Oh wow I forgot about the wii music especially the wii sports those are so nostalgic for me

ATC - All Around The World, still my favorite song of all time. Love 90s dance music. Take me to a time where things were more simple in life... not being an adult lol

The ACNL opening theme. My first AC game, I have so many good memories from it.

Also every song from Wii Party. That game was such a large part of my childhood.

As for real songs, A Thousand Years comes to mind. I remember when I was younger my cousin would play it for me all the time. :)

More Than A Feeling by Boston brings back lots of memories in the car. My mom loved playing that song during drives.

I recently rediscovered Tracy Chapman! It was bizarre hearing one of her songs for the first time in ten years and being blasted with a wave of nostalgia. She was such a great introduction to folk music.

caramelldansen
nya nya dance
im blue
toybox - superstar
linkin park - papercut
millionaires - alcohol
never wanted to dance
evacuate the dance floor
oh oh oh sexy vampire
and a bunch of trance/dance songs that i dont know the names of

i also listened to some hollywood undead last night and that took me back a bit Lol

Not really specific songs, but a lot of music from the 1980s, particularly that era's sound production/technology - like synthesizers, etc. - remind me of my young childhood when I was very synesthetic and ultra-sensitive to sensory textures, timbre, etc. It brings back nostalgia of the sort of magical abstraction my young brain had at the time. :)

The Piklopedia theme from Pikmin 2 is the first one that comes to mind. I could listen to that for hours and still not get bored of it, and I did spend hours in that part of the game reading the notes for all the different creatures. Just a very relaxing song from a game that helped shape my interest in ecology.

Castelia city theme from Pokémon white 2. That was my first Pokémon game I ever played and hearing that theme brings tears to my eyes lol.

born slippy and parachutes. my dad used to always play music from his ipod nano mini on long car drives, and these two stuck with me the most.

Avril Lavigne's "let go" album lmao. I remember listening to that album in elementary school with my walkman, heck yeah.

Hmmmm let's see (I'm going to post this in the form of a playlist)...

These songs were mostly popular during the 2010s btw
Lights - Ellie Goulding
Anything Could Happen - Ellie Goulding
Alive - Krewella
Count on Me - Bruno Mars
Payphone - Maroon 5
Carry On - FUN
One Thing - One Direction
Primadonna - Marina and the Diamonds
Froot - Marina and the Diamonds
Royals - Lorde
Team - Lorde

This section is even more early 2010s
About U - Miranda Cosgrove
Dancing Crazy - Miranda Cosgrove
Upside Down - Jack Johnson
Number One Enemy - Daisy dares You
Come On! Come On! -Morgan Lawrence
Nimbasa Core - pLasterbrain
Modal Shanghai - pLasterbrain
Hey There Delilah - Plain White T's
Duvet - Bôa
Tik Tok - Ke$ha
California Girls - Katy Perry
Duet With Myself - charlieissocoollike
True Jackson VP - Keke Palmer
First Day of My Life - Bright Eyes

Also honestly any Owl City is just nostalgic in general because the music production is just pure early 2010s EDM sounds.

there’s a lot of songs that make me nostalgic but a big one is “how far we’ve come” by matchbox twenty! it was my favourite song for a while when i was younger and hearing it now is a huge nostalgic trip down memory road aha. it’s still a bop, though!
