I like to refer to my island as “the [my name] show” because it’s just a fun little mixture of all the things/themes I like. It’s got cottagecore, pastel/Sanrio areas, some minimalist spots, and just anything that I find interesting
That being said, I have mad respect to anyone who can stick to one coherent theme. It’s hard to pick just one
My theme is basically a tropical island resort. I made a separate house which is being used as a hotel. The main room is the lobby, the basement is the guest laundry room, and the remaining rooms are the guest rooms each equipped with a bedroom and bathroom. I’m proud of my hotel and it’s one of my favorite parts to my island.
Lavendercore lol. It has alot of cottagecore elements, but I use purple hyacinths and a cobblestone path with light purple flowers. I think the use soft purple tones throughout my island ties it all together and makes it look more cohesive, so I would say that is the main theme.
My island has a mixture of themes. Initially I had plans to make it like my New Leaf Town which I designed to look like areas in Dragon Age. I later made some areas resemble areas in One Piece and a little bit of some artwork from a gacha game as well as a bazaar with an archaeological site (based on nothing; the reindeer I placed references the three kings in I think a Christmas song). One of the One Piece areas is Japanese themed (Wano) which I was planning on adding or trying to add a bath house area. By my colosseum (another One Piece area) I was going to make a loose interpretation of the town part of Dressrosa; I ended up making the “interior” of some of the buildings look like classrooms and in the back I have some heraldry from FE3H.
My island is still wip.
My previous island had mostly no theme, I kinda just went with the flow. But I did tend to have some areas look more natural/urban. I'm currently resetting for a new island (taking ages, bleh), and I plan on going mostly a mix of natural/forest and zen theme.
Part of our island is a developed tropical resort, and the other part is mostly untouched. I like the contrast between the natural island and development.
i honestly ... have no idea LMAO. going off of what i have so far, my island’s heading towards a mixture of pastel, colourful, rustic and glow-in-the-dark themes but i don’t really know how to describe it beyond that lol. i tried to stick to just one theme or two in the beginning but i’ve never fared well with i guess, limiting myself like that? so i pretty much just do whatever i can come up with whenever i’m feeling creative and hope that it doesn’t seem too out of place once it’s finished.
Mine doesn't have a core theme at the moment because I knocked most of my island down to start terraforming it the way I want it to look, however the theme I have in mind will be a mixture of tropical/forest and fantasy.
Honestly, I admire anyone that has a theme for their island. I feel like it is so difficult bc there never seems to be enough furniture to follow one theme. Also I am not creative enough and eventually hit a brick wall with decorating lol
My island has no theme. I just designed little bits of it as I went and I love how it has turned out. There are no paths and only two main rivers going through the island. It’s very natural
Currently, my island has no theme. Although I have split my island into two layout-wise: west side focusing on nature, while the east side is a little suburb.
So far my north is a bamboo forest with lots of the beautiful asian items in game and my south is kinda pastel cute with some sanrio
I figure if I add the kerokeroppi stuff to the asian area that blends everything... right?
My main island is National Park themed. It leans mostly to forestcore, but has mountainous, desert & tropical spots as well. I wanted to make sure to represent multiple ecological zones & fitting villagers in each area.
My 2nd island is a Christina Aguilera themed island with nods to her videos, tours & outfits. Definitely more citylike & over the top!
