What to do with a basement....

My basements are/have been: fisherman's den, astrology set/palace room, nightmare hell scape (in the Halloween/scary house), underwater set bedroom, mermaid set bedroom, and Egyptian/archaeological dig site.

I break my basement into zones. My biggest zone is my workshop. Then there are smaller zones consisting of laundry and second bathroom.

I had it pirate themed in NL and was gonna do the same again, but that would be boring and I can put most of the pirate stuff outside. So I'm gonna wait until I can catch one of those giant Spider Crab thingies and put all cobwebs around, make it dark and scary.

I was going to make a bar, but didn't have the right furniture. I decided to make a temporary bedroom that somehow ended up becoming an explorers bedroom/office. I loved how it looked and decided to keep it.

I put an arcade machine, some chairs, and some teddy bears. It’s quite colorful

It’s honestly just a lounge area since I have people at my island a lot lol

My main character's basement is her workshop and it has a retro theme- Beaded-curtain Wall and orange retro flooring. I've got an orange Loft bed with desk down there, a laundry area, and a red Diner dining table w/ matching chairs. The table and chairs are special, because my grandparents had a very similar table and chair set in their basement, and the whole room is sort of based around their old rec room ☺ It just makes me smile whenever I go in it!

My side characters basements are (or are going to be):
-Workout/sports room
-Party room (w/ a mix of birthday and wedding furniture)
-Underwater room
-Creepy basement with unfinished floor and gravestone for my haunted house (I'm working on this one now, it's gonna be super cool!)

It's lacking only one thing, the Modelling Clay which will go on the table. But it's got a Painting area with a stool for the subject, paintings both my own and fake official paintings and statues, and an area for moulding clay figures and pots. I already got some DIYs and Turnips, and you can see where they'll be put.
Not bad for a single days work I reckon.

That looks so epic! Really nice furniture choices. The map on the ground and blank canvas are nice touches. :3

I made mine a hall of fame for villager pics. Palace wall and flooring, lots of den desks, lots of trophy cases and plaques, and most importantly, LOTS OF VILLAGERS PICS (Still working on that last part though).

Mine is a laundry/storage room. I have a washing machine, sink, some clothes hanging up, the white iron shelf, and lots of plants. I also have my workbench down there.
