What to do.....

Ok so i'm getting Platinum sometimes in march and a DSi for my birthday in August, I want to use the DSi so I can trade from Pearl to Platinum but i'm unsure of what I should send over.... what do you think?

I think you should send over your team and all your legendaries.

I want to start afresh in plat, so only things you cant get in plat, imo.

Im sending all my pokemon, I know it's going to take a while but I don't feel like starting over.

Well i'm not sending anything over until I beat the elite four and get all the legendaries except regigigas. Did you know Shaymin can still turn into sky shaymin if you send him over from D/P?

Yeah, Send all your Pokemon AFTER You beat the Elite Four.
Other then that, if you send it at the beginning of the game then the game will become boring.

I'm going to play through Platinum with a mono-type team.

If you want ot keep your team, send it over, anything you want to keep, send over, shinies etc.

But other than that its up to you.
