I usually listen to Vocaloid/Vocaloid Covers(covers since most songs are kinda hard to understand or in Japanese), mxmtoon, Cavetown, video game OST music. I've been slowly branching out a bit and found some Hamilton songs I like (Congratulations and First Burn) but not enough to say I like Hamilton music, y'know?

So what music do you usually listen to? I might take this as an opportunity to branch out on my music a bit ^_^

By the way, take some time to search up a singer named Lollia on YouTube and listen to her cover of the song Simple And Clean. It's amazing!!

i love some nice r&b/ jazzy futuristic music
i think dodie clarks music and songs are very lovely too

I listen to quite a variety tbh. One of my favourite artists (Neal Morse) does progressive rock which is basically more classically influenced rock where the songs are a lot longer than normal songs (one of my favourite songs by him is 26 minutes long), but he also does some more acoustic/poppy stuff and I love it all. One of my other favourite artists actually does Christian music (I'm not a fan of Christian music in general but I like his style specifically and his lyrics aren't super cheesy.) I'm not a fan of most of the music that is on the mainstream radio because I don't like how it's all about drinking/parties/hook-ups but I like some pop songs that aren't so much about that stuff. I also really like Lights's stuff and she's kind of electro-pop/indie. I love video game music too, I listen to all the AC soundtracks and stuff like Yoshi's Woolly World and Mario Kart music on repeat whenever I'm working.

i listen to a variety of music as well, but i mostly listen to folk/folk punk type music and similar stuff (the mountain goats, kimya dawson, ajj, etc) but i my music taste extends to other genres

synthpop
new wave
hardcore punk
alternative
reggae rock
art rock
indie
disco
electronic
thrash metal
sludge metal

Anything. I don’t really care what I’m listening to, I just try to analyze it and the lyrics.

i like alternative music and other indie artists!

my favorite artists include:
mother mother
jukebox the ghost
radical face
arctic monkeys
set it off
fall out boy
panic at the disco
marina and the diamonds
regina spektor

when it comes to musicals, newsies has an amazing soundtrack. it's hard not to love imo.

I am a rock/alternative kind of girl, ALTHOUGH, I am stuck in high school (2006-2010) so it's a lot of Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Panic! At The Disco. I am so bad at find new current music, so any recommendations are appreciated.

My favorite band is Queen! UGH Freddie Mercury <3

Right now I am addicted... ADDICTED.. To Cardi B. She is definitely not someone I ever thought I would be listening to, but yet here I am knowing all of the words to most of her songs. CRAZY. Haha.

I'm all into hip-hop and pop songs/music. I love all kind of music but these two genres are my jam <3

i like video game music
and rap

and country music

i know a lot of people hate country music but i grew up in the country so it's just apart of me so sometimes its nice to listen to it but i mostly stick with rap

Flying Lotus, Mndsgn, Toro Y Moi, Blank Banshee, Iglooghost, Yaeji, Deadmau5, Little Dragon, and Sam Gellaitry are all really good if you like electronic music.

I also love Death Grips, Danny Brown, Tyler the Creator, Frank Ocean, Beyonce, Solange, Kali Uchis, The Internet, Protoje, Chronixx. Arctic Monkeys, Cortney Barnett, I could go on and on.

Nu Metal, Spoken Word, Metalcore, Deathcore, Djent, Prog, stuff along those lines

I listen to a bit of everything, but especially Synthpop. 80s nostalgia stuff is great.

Do you use 8tracks? I've found that's a really good website for finding new music, people upload playlists and then tag them based on things like genre, artist, or even just mood or tone or an aesthetic keyword. A lot of people make playlists inspired by fictional characters or TV shows or things like that, which can be fun.

Pretty much everything.

Some new stuff I've been listening to lately:

"MIEN," by MIEN ("apocalyptic psych rock")
"tres," by mouse on the keys (acid jazz/post-rock)
"Who Wants to Ride the Horse," by Empty Frame (indie rock/alternative)

You can click on the album titles to listen to them.

i think my favorite types of music are pop, jazz, sometimes lofi hip-hop; anything that has some type of dreamy-like feeling to it sits well with me. there's also a lot of game tracks that i like—especially those from the Persona series. and regarding the Persona series, i can't pick between P3, P4, and P5's soundtrack; all of them have a different type of genre that corresponds with the overall theme and atmosphere of each game

but overall, i like all sorts of music! each type has their own type of composition~
