What was the dumbest mistake/thing you have ever done?

Today I decided it would be a good idea to put my 3Ds in my LUNCHBOX and take it to school. Taking it to school rearly wasn't the best choice, but usually I keep it in a secure section in my backpack.
Anyway, during chorus they make us keep our things outside in the hall so the room isn't cluttered. There's a lady watching our stuff to make sure nothing is taken but apparently she wasn't doing a good job because when the lesson was over MY LUNCHBAG WAS GONE.
At first I was like eh, it's just a lunchbag, its easily replaceable but after two seconds I realized OH **** MY 3DS WAS IN THERE ALONG WITH MY ACNL.
I started panicking and looking all over for it because of course I had to pack the game I loved most that I put 500+ hours into, with tons of hybrids, rare items, and eight of ten dreamies, and three characters, and lots of badges, and my mayors home filly expanded, etc. But I couldn't find it anywhere. I gave up and cried all the way home because I spent so much time on that thing.
Luckily when I got home everything turned out okay. One of my teachers was able to get it back and we picked it up.
That probably isn't the stupidest thing I've ever done, but it's the most recent stupid thing.

leaving the sun room door open and someone managed to steal a crap load of stuff (mostly worthless crap) but they got lots of stuff, as it was visible to all the apartments surrounding us, but atleast the sunroom door to the kitchen was locked. We've moved out since then because someone bought our house to fill more apartments in, now it's one big apartment block...
