This might sound silly, but I give myself goosebumps when I think about the opening music of AC:WW. All other AC menu music has a “let’s get to work” vibe. But WW’s opening music had this sunset/sunrise-type calmness to it. Many early mornings and late nights started with that music
My first Animal Crossing game was Animal Crossing for the GameCube. I would play it for hours on end. When I got a DS Lite, I would then play Wild World for hours. I played a little of City Folk - I felt it was too much of a copy of Wild World with an added city, so I didn't care for it as much. It was difficult for me to play with the Wii-Motes - gameplay was frustrating for me. Then, New Leaf came out, and I logged over one thousand hours between 2013 and 2019. Since March 2020, I have logged over nine hundred hours in New Horizons.
Mine was technically Wild World, but I did not really play it much as in all I did was dig up fossils and gyroids lol. I don't think I really understood the point of the game at the time, but even that was enough to give me a temporary escape from problems at home. I really got invested when Pocket Camp came out pouring a lot of time into it, but ever since New Horizons came out I haven't touched it much. I'm hoping to pick up New Leaf and replay my WW game
Wild World! I got it for Christmas that year. I was originally interested in GC, one of my friends used to talk about it and I tried playing it at at her house because it looked cool, but I never had a GameCube so I couldn't play it until I got a Wii.
Wild World, I got it a few months after it was first released and played it constantly for a very long time, I loved meeting new villagers and expanding my home and spent many hours playing hide-and-seek with friends around each others towns.
my first animal crossing game was the GameCube one. sometimes I miss how rude the villagers used to be. It’s much nicer trying to build a relationship with the villagers than to have all of them be so nice to you from the get go, even if they did paint my roof a random color and take all my bells. It was just more natural that way and their insults made me chuckle.
My first Animal Crossing game was the GameCube game. I first saw it back in 2002 when I went to visit a friend; they were playing it when I arrived to their house. I subsequently got my own copy so we could play together.
i've been playing since gamecube, which got me into the franchise. then i played wild world, never played city folk, playing new leaf and now am playing new horizons.
i also played some of pocket camp, but i wasn't vibing with it. it didn't really interest me at all so once my old phone i was playign on it broke i never bothered to try it again.
I played city folk a lot last year and I can say that the game is MUCH better to play when you're using the nunchuck instead of just the wii remote, that way your movement can be a lot more precise and it's a lot easier to catch bugs (especially bees), so if you ever think of giving it another chance I suggest using the nunchuck
Animal Crossing for the GameCube was my first. I was a young child very fascinated with the theme of the game.
I struggled with chronic illness as a child, so it helped with the lonely feeling I’d get when I was too sick to move around much.
I’ve played every title and it’s my favorite franchise.
wild world! i never owned it myself, but since i was 7 years old i was playing it at the local youth club i went to all the time. i cant say i understood a thing- never even passed the tutorial, but i had a blast! it made me want to buy new leaf when i first upgraded to a 3dsxl from my dsi, and i put like 600+ hours into that!! its had such an incredible impact on my life :,]
+ even if nobodys voted it yet, i feel sorry for the poor soul whos first game was amiibo festival </3
(because there's bound to be one out there somewhere)
