I've been a part of many internet forums in my life, but the first one I was ever a part of was the Super Skarmory forums. Which was a forum for Nintendo/Pokemon fans to gather who were fans of the then YouTuber, Super Skarmory. Those forums have been long since dead but I'm in contact with a good amount of people from that forum today. One of those people I've been trying to get them to join TBT!

tbh until I found tbt I didn't know what a forum even was. I was just googling random stuff, found tbt, clicked it, lurked as a guest, then joined.

I actually can’t recall the first forum I was in, but TBT is not my first one.

The first forum I ever joined was the Ushi No Tane (Harvest Moon) forum back in 2008 or 2009. It sparked my interest in sprite edits of all things, which then got me into pixel art! (And graphic design with signatures-- there were some shops where you could request them and some people made them with gifs and stuff? It was very cool and I was determined to learn and be like them haha.) It's very nostalgic to think about!

Mine was a forum called friendcodes.com in 2008. It was a basic friend code exchanging forum that started during the Nintendo DS era. It changed it's name to nintendoplus.com but it shut down, unfortunatly. One if my old mutuals there actually introduced to THIS forum though, in 2014. It's sad to see a lot of forums in general die because I prefer them so much more than the annoying social media sites these days. It makes me greatful for TBT because it's still thriving to this day compared to other forums.

The Fandom discussions forum for the Percy Jackson series... I'm a mod there now which is fun

The first forum I remember joining is a Tamagotchi forum from 2004 that was running on InvisionFree. Its memorable, because I remember asking my parents' permission if I could sign up, so I asked my mom and she said "no", so then I waited later to ask my dad and he also said "no". It was at that moment I decided to make my own e-mail and sign up onto that forum secretly.

Technically I had used Lego's Messageboards before I signed up on that Tamagotchi website, but when I was signing up for Lego it wasn't for its Messageboards feature, it was for the ActiveX/Quicktime games. Also the Messageboards was not like a traditional forum, every single message you make has to be reviewed and approved by a moderator, so its not like a normal forum.

Oh I never responded here. I guess I just voted for the confetti? lol. It was either the official Sega forum that is now gone or some other Nintendo/game forum that I can't remember the name of. It was really generic and might not even had been that well known. I just came across both one day and registered. I do remember making a topic in one of them that became one of the famous threads that kept getting bumped to the top for years. It was something like most memorable gaming moments.
