Mine would be Splatoon. Fun thing cause i do play the first one, complete the story and play online. Enjoyable experience but can never get that deep into the online to keep leveling up and keep playing much as others do.

Still looking forward to buy the 3rd one tho…

Zelda games. I did enjoy Windwaker but didn't really get that far anyway. Most Zelda games are too hard for me to figure out where to go or what to do next. I end up playing the game through a guide so what's the point? Lol

That would probably be Fire Emblem for me. I very much want to love Fire Emblem, both because I love RPG's and because I love the characters, but I just don't find tactical RPG's to be quite as fun as more simple, story-driven turn-based games like Final Fantasy, or I suppose Pokémon if you need a Nintendo specific example. They're not bad games, and I don't hate them; they just happen to be a genre that I don't particularly enjoy.

Zelda games. Could never get into them fully. I tried playing various ones and they just didn't click, lol.

Splatoon for me, as well. I got it because my Mario Kart friends ditched the game we loved for it. I couldn’t get into it like them. I don’t understand the hype either.

pokemon, i mean i really haven’t tried it except for maybe one game. it doesn’t appeal to me because it seems like all the games have a repetitive storyline.

I don’t know why, but it’s hard to like Mario Super Strikers. It’s popular enough to get a Switch game, but personally it’s never been my thing.

Also, I never had Wii Music, and while the YouTube playthroughs are funny, I’m glad I never played it.

I guess the Mario & Luigi series. I really wanted to enjoy them, but the battle system is too difficult for me. I can't get very far in one before I'm already stuck due to not being able to learn the timing to dodge attacks. It's very unique for a battle system and I appreciate that, but it's just hard and not for me.

Also, since a few people brought up Splatoon, I will admit I do not care about the multiplayer part of the game.

To be honest it’s most of them now. My post will just feel like contrarianism but I don’t buy Nintendo consoles for many games, just a few that will not make it to PC officially.
  • Mario platformers in general don’t have as much cool lore or character or cohesive theme as other series like Crash, Spyro, Psychonauts, Sly or Jak & Daxter. They’re just more random and the level design in Mario doesn’t take as many risks either so while they may be consistently polished games they’re more standard and boring to me. I’ll generally take a wonky game with more interesting elements over that. Honestly Odyssey is the worst one to me as well. It feels like the least polished and has some of the worst level design. The only one I like as much as other people is Bowser’s Fury, it’s a very fast-paced game that does something new that works and doesn’t feel gimmicky OR too serious. And I like 3D World a lot, so I guess that counts. I think I would still enjoy Galaxy 2 but god Galaxy 1 is slow and boring to me. Also shout-outs to every single Mario platformer having some sort of forced postgame that makes you repeat huge parts of levels (be it for more stars, blue coins or with Luigi n co.), awful design that never gets called out enough.
  • 2D Mario platformers be similarly standard to me. They’re just the most basic 2D platformers imagineable. I only particularly like SMB3 but all of them are eclipsed. I realise it was probably impressive back then but SMW is so boring to me too. Some levels/moments in all these games are cool, but they don’t really go far enough to excite me.
  • Mario Kart 7/8 I don’t like the design direction. I like Wii. If you get it you get it. The skill gap in 7/8 and tricks you can do aren’t exciting so I don’t enjoy them and get bored extremely fast. Also the track designs took a hit with more pointless forks instead of the dynamic choices in Wii tracks. And everything in the game just feels weirdly slow and homogenous. 7 was honestly more fun to me because while it was very very rushed feeling the track design was somewhat better and it was more colourful and the speed and items felt better. CTR is my goat racing game regardless but Mario Kart has so far to go and they can offer so many more modes and customisation even if they don’t want to cater to a more hardcore side of the audience.
  • I don’t really have a problem with 2D Zelda, but 3D Zelda has always felt kind of overly slow-paced to me and I think they all have weak combat and just aren’t as exciting as they want to be. They’re all decent but aside from OoT/MM being impressive for their time I will always scratch my head as to why each entry is considered a masterpiece by so many. They’re fine adventure games with some moments that are pretty cool.
  • I don’t really like RPGs and Fire Emblem can’t break that curse. I used to like Xenoblade but since the fanbase changed I reflected on it more and liked it less in retrospect anyway, now I have trauma related to someone I really associate with Xenoblade so I don’t even like the first game anymore. I do actually like Mother though because it feels a bit faster than many RPGs and popularised ior started the “quirky RPG” thing which is rarely done well by indies and I like Superstar Saga because it has much more of an action gameplay feel rather than feeling totally turn based or slower.
  • I think Kirby games are just fine. They largely blend together to me other than Triple Deluxe and Robobot. They all seem to have some neat stuff but for whatever reason it never gets through to me. They do get “weird” with the dark lore plot twists, but they do something like that every time so it’s no longer surprising/exciting. In theory I should really like Kirby for marrying colorful graphics with weird twists, because that’s kind of right up my alley, plus I appreciate that they make weird spinoffs with him but I never found the games to live up to my expectations. TD/RB get more points for nostalgia, though I found them most memorable out of the ones I played anyway. I will say I still like Kirby better than the rest of this list, and they tend to toss a bit more difficulty in post-game, I simply never find the games to be worth full-price for myself. I’d buy Kirby games for like 2/3 price but Nintendo games never go on sale and it’s worse down here.
  • Yoshi’s Island. I can’t tell you why this time to be honest. This one doesn’t even make sense to me. Every time I try to play it I get bored. Maybe it has too many gimmicks for one to stick with me.

edit: I completely forgot. Smash Bros. I do not enjoy Smash at all because I think it feels horrible to control. Also there are too many annoying strategies in the games that actually feel rewarded/viable. Melee is pretty fun to watch but otherwise I don’t enjoy this series at all. There’s no better way for me to say it. Sorry.

I've just never clicked with the Zelda series, even though I do like the character designs and general scenery. I'd still like to try this series again in the future, though.

Also, Splatoon. Unfortunately, this one just doesn't connect with me in any way whatsoever.

There are honestly a lot of them for me. Splatoon is definitely one (but this is honestly just because I tend to be a solo gamer). I think some others would be...Star Fox, F-Zero, Arms, etc. Also, some of the sports entries have been very weak lately. Like...the new Mario Golf, I thought was bare bones and just not a good showing at all from Nintendo.

I don't count myself as a real Nintendo fan, one of the reasons because of how many games I never liked and lost interest in.
-All of the 2D mario games, when I played them I got bored of them in few days and never bothered to return to them. Only 2D mario game i finished was Yoshi's island(3ds) which I wouldn't really count as part of the main mario games.

-3D mario games
I get bored playing the games, like I usually only do 1 level and done for the day. I finished All-Stars, mario galaxy, mario odyssey, and I think that was it. But it went by slow to finish them because of lack of motivation to play them.

-Splatoon
I think I'm losing interest in it because online pretend AFK players ruined it, and hackers. There was also too many updates that changes weapons stats. They never make up their minds of the weapons stats so that's also why I haven't played the game in a year. I don't think I'll get splatoon 3.

-Any kirby game
I got bored of so many kirby games that I stopped playing them. Don't know why they made me bored.

-Not happy with newer Zelda games so far like BOTW. Because it really wasn't a zelda game like the gameplay was bad imo and the story mode. Game needed actual temples/dungeons and more boss fights that you actually have to fight. There's more issues i had with the game but I'll stop here with it. And yes i still finished the game.
The LoZ Calamity something warriors or whatever it was called. It's a spinoff but I'm still disappointed that they did another Hyrule Warriors, Nintendo could've saved the story for an actual Zelda game or no game at all. I just hope Nintendo will make actual Zelda games again in the future, I don't have hopes for BOTW 2.

-Star fox games
I never liked them and idk why.

There is more nintendo game series i didn't like but this is long enough.

That's another reason i lost interest in the game is how bad the leveling up system is. I can't play as much as others do to get 99. I'm stuck in the 50s😅

I cannot get into Metroid games. Metroidvanias are one of my least favorite genres and this is the game that pioneered the genre. I don’t like the lack of direction and reliance on backtracking to progress. They feel like a way to pad out time rather than make the player have an enjoyable experience. I can’t speak for the Prime games, but 2D Metroid has clunky combat too. Whenever I want to aim in a specific direction I end up walking instead. Don’t even get me started on the jumping physics. Each jump doesn’t have as much momentum as other series, so it makes those platforming sections more irritating.

I’m glad other people can enjoy them, but I just can’t.

The main mario series never really appealed to me. I’m not big into platform gaming in general, but this one especially didn’t click with me. As a child, the lack of female representation in the form of main, playable characters (the series is heavily focused around mario and luigi; side characters like peach and daisy didn’t cut it for me) turned me off, and because of that, I’ve never bothered to pick it up later in life because I’ve never had much reason to.
I also never got the (admittedly quite limited) Pikmin fanbase. First of all, they’re REALLY creepy imo, they have no distinct qualities, personalities or meaningful storylines besides being small and offensively colourful that make you want to play and the games themselves just feel tedious. bleh

one game, one series. i tried very hard to get into fire emblem and i just cant. the character designs are nice and the art is neat but i hate the combat style and don't like the "bonding" systems later games have (i know its optional so i never used it much.) i don't really enjoy other games similar to FE so it's probably not the game itself but the genre as a whole.

i used to be obsessed with TLOZ Skyward Sword because i got it for my 12th birthday, but i did not vibe with breath of the wild at all. I played it for maybe 8 hours before getting bored and giving up, and i do very much enjoy games like breath of the wild, i just didnt vibe with it for some reason. it's been a good 3-4 years (i think) since then so maybe i'll like it now but i doubt it.

I'm not sure if it's considered a Nintendo series, but I could just not understand the fun behind the pokemon games. The pokemon characters themselves are fine to me, but not the gameplay stuff itself.

I would say Pokemon. It's a very popular video game franchise, but for whatever reason I just couldn't really bring myself to play the game regularly. That doesn't mean I don't want to, because I really do. I just feel like I'm too focused on other game franchises I regularly play.

I would say the 2D Mario games. I never really liked them even though I own almost all of them. They were kinda samey and unenjoyable to me but I played DS, New, and U but I just.... couldnt get into them. ON THE OTHER HAND THOUGH SUPER PRINCESS PEACH WAS A MASTERPIECE AND WONDERFUL. I LOVED THAT GAME 🍑

Splatoon. I literally have no interest in that game, even if I had others to play with.
Donkey Kong. I tried hard to like it, I just don't. I think it is just the things I don't like in it are actually things I really don't like.
Quite a few rpgs (not all of course). I like some turn based stuff, but I am really picky about it. I also hate cards. Ooblets is literally the only game I have ever game across that I have an interest in playing that uses cards in combat. Maybe I am highly picky, or I just haven't been exposed to cards enough.
Majora's Mask. I hate that game because of the time loop. Time loops bother me greatly. Usually when time travel is involved with a game, I get weary of it and usually skip it. Beyond the time loop issue I have, I feel like it is just as good as any other Zelda game (except BOTW)
Breath of the Wild, for some reason just doesn't appeal to me.

star fox
- tried the first one, didnt get very far. I dont like the controls, its kinda janky but then again it's an old game from the 90s.

smash bros
- everytime I tried to play smash I get bored. I'm not super into fighting games so I dunno why I keep getting them
