What's up with the lottery in the shop??

So, I'm sort of new here, but I keep on noticing 'lottery' in the shop where the prize is 1.3+0-100 bells... And last tons of draws had 0 winners... Is there no winner no matter how many people buy a ticket?? IS it just disabled??? I'm too scared to try even though it's just five bells lol :/ (the prize is -98.7 bells...)

I had the same question a few days ago. Basically its still working but isn't even worth it, because in the entire lottery history only 3 people have won.

One: Its never worth it.

Two: 100 TBT isn't good enough to win a lottery. I would say up it up to 1k TBT

Three: You can make TBT faster by posting and selling stuff.

It's not worth participating in the lotteries. You have a low chance winning just as much TBT as you can earn by making ten long posts in discussion boards.

might be more worth it if it was accumulative. so starts at 100, next week becomes 200, then 300, etc

Exactly! Would you want to enter a raffle to win a free tootsie roll if you already own a family-sized bag of Kit-Kat Minis at home? Would you participate in a school competition to get a pizza lunch if you're already going out to eat at your favorite restaurant after school? This is what the TBT lottery is like.

i forgot but someone once commented the chance of winning the lottery, it was 1/1000 or something even worse, i can't remember. i bought some tickets before but it ain't worth. 100 tbt really isn't worth.
