Homemade carrot cake!

I don't eat many sweets because for whatever reason they tend to make me feel ill after I eat them, but homemade carrot cake is worth being sick for an hour or so on the rare occasion I have some!

i really like carrot cake!! idk the icing just tastes so different?

i also like choclate cake and blueberry cheesecake but my fave is carrot cake because it's not too sweet most of the time? oh oh and i like black forest also because of the lil chocolate slivers

unpopular opinion: i LOVE carrot cake. the spiced cake with the cream cheese frosting is just *chef?s kiss*

Tiramisu.
Runner-up would probably be german chocolate cake though.

I really like chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. I'm not too in to other types of cake but if I had to choose another one it would probably be red velvet.

I don't really like actual cake that much, I'm definitely more of a cheesecake person. But my MIL makes the best cake and icing I've ever had, I have no idea what she does but it's the lightest cake and creamiest frosting I've ever had - I'll eat any flavor of cake if it was made by her.

I'm not really a cake person unless it's moist, like pavlova or mud cake. Yum!

cheesecake is probably my favourite but i also really like chocolate and red velvet (which are technically the same, just with different frosting aha)

Red velvet cake and chocolate cake are two very different styles of cake! The texture and flavor is completely different. Red velvet is traditionally made with cocoa powder, buttermilk, and vinegar. The red color comes from the reaction between the compounds in the cocoa powder which change to red with acidity! (Spoon University link) You are completely right about the frosting since they traditionally have two different styles of frosting.

My favorite cake is red velvet followed by chocolate cake. I have lots of opinions on cake! :lemon:
