Even though I'm just getting started, I'm going to be dressing up so fancy, with a luxurious mansion for a home. It's going to be fun to pretend to be in high society.
I don't have one. I do different things from day to day. My island is always a work in progress, and I kinda just do what I think might be neat at a given time. I always get a kick out of people who figure out new ways to use the different customization options, so if I can find different ways to use items outside of what they are intended as, I'm usually thinking about that.
ignore the game for weeks at a time then in a panic catch up on everything I've missed
I just do whatever needs doing at the time! so for a long time I was working on sections of my island as and when I decided I wanted to alter and improve them, and for now I'm just working on finishing up a few last nook miles achievements before I reset my island and start it all again from the beginning
I go through mad bursts of terraforming, and then burn myself out and leave big sections of my island unfinished. I have a whole area of my island that I have no idea what to do with.
The high society angle sounds fun tho, you need to get your hands on the sparkling cider item so you can stand around in a full tux sipping champaign lol
I’ve made up a story for my island in my island journal and roles for my villagers, but my play style doesn’t reflect that. I used to try to collect whatever bugs and fish I’m missing each month, but I’ve gotten lazy and now do what I feel like. I’d decorate since collecting furniture and decorating is my favorite thing to do in AC but have been feeling so uninspired with what I have, but I still am trying to come up with ideas by going to Harv’s studio. My time there has been increasing since I like creating mini stories for my friends. Like I made one for Nef who was a conspirator against Tangy (well, he condoned her burial; he did do something on his own island to her though ) in The Woods (something that appears during some of TBT’s events). I also use it to try on clothes on villagers and my rep.
i honestly just vibe. for the most part, i mainly just do my daily tasks each day but sometimes i’ll get a burst of energy and/or creativity and decorate an area, get rid of some flowers, etc. right now, my main interests are meeting and getting to know different villagers + collect their photos and complete nook mile achievements so i guess my play style revolves around that.
My typical playthrough for a non-eventful day goes like this: check mail, change outfits, check plaza, check Able Sisters, check Nook's Cranny. And while I'm doing this, I pluck weeds and talk to villagers I run to. After that, I close the game.
If I feel like it, I try to redecorate. Sometimes, just changing an item or two. Or if I'm in the mood, I go bigger. Earlier today, I made a construction lot for Brewster's cafe. Still waiting for items I ordered to finish it.
I play maybe 2-3 times a day. Usually the first part is getting all the chores outta the way. That's just like the checking mail, the shops, the map (for Redd), seek out villagers to give gifts to, talk to some, find the wandering NPC. I'll walk up and down my beaches looking for giant clams and catch any bugs that cross my paths for the Nook mile achievement.
The second time around, I'll talk to my villagers again to see if I capture any dumb conversations to post in my island journal since it's amusing to me. I'll play around with my outfit and whatnot. Then third time around, I'll work on custom designs for 3-5 hours, sometimes longer and shut the game off for the day.
Excessive decorating. Sometimes I interact with my villagers, trying to get to know them better and add to my little headcanons for them. They don't have designated roles or jobs, their personalities are soley based on their actions and interactions.
I also like to take photos for my island journal whenever my character isn't wearing the construction helmet. For the most part, though, it's all about decorating.
The high society angle is fun and I kind of like to do that as well, viewing myself and my villagers as a very exclusive community while Tom Nook and all of his minions are just there to do our bidding Not the kind of approach I would condone IRL, but for a game, why not.
Originally I had planned for my character to be nothing but a self-insert, but even though she likes the same things as me and looks like me as far as AC characters go, she turned out to be very exaggerated and slightly unhinged.
I guess my play style is fairly relaxed? I go on to sell my fruit, pluck the odd weed, check the stores, and chat to my villagers, but mostly just to chill out! I usually have a small long term goal in the back of my mind, like working towards a villager photo or two, and I might mosey around and beautify the place as best I can. My main aim is always to have my island be a scenic and relaxing place to hang out in, and while I've always taken it slow, I never get bored of tweaking it.
I play differently every time I play pretty much. In general I'd say when I play I'm either chilling, doing chores, or going to a social event (i.e. meteor shower party, hanging out with friends, etc.) Some days I spend time on fashion and creating outfits. Other days I'm in decorating and terraforming mode and want to change and improve everything. I kind of like to do what inspires me on a given day- whether that be doing a huge project or just hanging out!
My main island is kind of a fantasy zone for me- it's super girly and not many areas of my home are designed that way. It's a nice place to escape and have things exactly the way I'd like it. My second island is the same way but it's my wild and woodsy space. My one rule I impose on myself is to keep things fun- when it starts feeling too much like work or makes me upset it gets turned off, my islands are my happy space!
My island is story based, based on my dark novel that Im currently writing. Currently Ive been making more designs, moving things around, and trying to make things spooky. Since Im going for cute on the outside, dark on the inside.
But my daily task is to always talk to my villagers, then give them fruit, but an actual gift to the one I want the picture from. Thats basically my everyday "chore" I do.
I've currently been working on a maze like area, cant be easy to get to my inner island during tours~thats been fun
My playstyle is disappear for several months, suddenly walk out of my house, destroy an entire mountain with a shovel in my attempts to terraform, then go back to sleep without talking to anyone.
I guess for me its just giving my villagers gifts in the hopes of getting their photos so that way they can move off my island and do the same Nook Mile tasks, check my rocks to get materials, check all the sapling trees for any wasps so I can sell for more bells, and after that I log off for the day. So I'm casual I guess.
i decorate and terraform then become unsatisfied with it. THEN i get tired and restart my island and disappear for a few days, force myself to try to have fun and end up playing for like 7 minutes.
i want to redo my island (not completely reset it) but today is one of those days where i tell myself im going to play and redo my island but i keep procrastinating on insta.
