What's your island's theme?

Just another island that is Japanese style. It's almost like my NL town, Vista except for I don't know which seasonal setting I should give it. It was going to be another cherry blossom town, but I really like how autumn is like in this game.

My island doesn't have a specific theme! I just tried to make a nice, cosy island that I thought my sweet villagers would enjoy! 😊💗

Yeah same here. I never really had a set theme. Sometimes I isolate a little area to make a spooky forest and haunted house, but most times it's just a little of everything or something from a story I created. I find it awesome that some can stick to a full theme and make it look great, but I want a little more freedom.

i think i would call it a mix between cottagecore and naturecore? if anything once this island is done, i’ll redo it to actually match my island name with a celestial them!

My last island tune was the same as my New Leaf town, the opening notes of Godot’s theme from Ace Attorney. Once I can select a tune for my island it’ll be the same.

My island isn't designed and decorated yet... but the theme is partially based off of the Might and Delight game called Meadow from the Shelter series. I have a lot of good memories of playing that game with friends, and it features several different animal species, how perfect! That's where we get the island name "Meadow" and the very natural vibes. Lots of flowers, trees, and... SOMETHING (idk what) to represent the mysterious obelisks. Maybe star fragments scattered about? Hmm...

Since there's also houses and buildings and anthropomorphic animals (and a human) on an ACNH island, I decided to blend in a little bit of Moominvalley (mostly the 2019 version) and choose villagers that remind me of characters from the show. Dizzy reminds me of Moomintroll, Kitt is Moominmamma, etc. My current island flag and tune is from this show. (Though I have a Meadow flag I'll eventually switch to using.) And the places featured in Moominvalley will help me design the specifics of the island, like where my house is, where the rivers and bridges go, etc. I'm very excited to get it built!

I recently restarted my island and I’m going for a more rustic feel this time. I like the idea of kind of a washed up seaside town, but more leaning towards like PNW seaside, so forests and cottagecore with warm colors and leafy vibes. My trouble will be the terraforming because this island has a strange layout and I’m trying to work with it so I don’t have to change too much so fingers crossed it works out haha

my islands tend not to have themes, especially in acnh because i hate terraforming so much and can't do all the fancy stuff other people do haha. my first acnh island had a vaguely nautical vibe, kind of greyed-out seaside fishing town vibes.

rn my new leaf town is so new that i haven't done anything to it, but it's called Hush and i'm thinking it'll have a sort of soft, quiet, dreamy feel to it. my acnh town is just kind of... whatever. it's very rustic and i just plant lots of trees and dont pay much attention to it lol. we'll see i guess!

My island doesn't really have a theme! I have a bunch of different areas of my island centered around my interests. For example, I have a hockey rink because hockey is my favorite sport. I also have a hotel because I love traveling. I find it easier to make things on my island that I like and not relate them to any particular theme. The most themed thing about my island is the fact that my villagers follow an orange-brown color scheme.

My theme is a prison but one where there was a breakout of some kind. My village has a dark past...

There is an island cut off from the rest of the village where there are a bunch of unoccupied beds, with an axe suspiciously placed by one of the beds. There's a makeshift graveyard for the prisoners who lost their lives on the other side of the island.

I like when newcomers to my village explore it and join the dots of the mystery. It's rare, but it has happened before...I guess the story I'm trying to tell is that of an escaped convict who went to town on their fellow villagers...
