What's your least and most favourite things about New Leaf?

Least favorite: PWPs
Most favorite: PWPs.

they're sooo pretty but I did hate how random it was getting these requests. i've tried forever to get an uchi to request a bus stop but they never did ; ; i never got to live my acnl bus stop build rargh

also to add to least favorites: villagers moving out randomly when you're not active AND incoming villagers moving on top of paths or flower beds. i had Kid Cat before and loved him a lot but god he plotted his house right in the middle of my straight path and i was so so sad i had to kick him out

My most favourite is definitely the music, upgrades and interactions with your villagers.
My least favourite is not being able to control where villagers put their houses and the the process to unlock and place PWPs.

favorite: the mini games on tortimer island, tropical fruits, fortune cookies and the comfy music that makes me feel like playing it for the first time again. also april fools is very sweet.

least favorite: not being able to place items outside of your house, especially because so many furniture items are clearly not things that belong in a house.

Favorite: The Welcome Amiibo update, there are even better clothing and furniture types than the ones you usually see in shops.

Least Favorite: Public works projects, I haven't bothered with one for years due to how ridiculously expensive they are and how long and hard you have to work for to get them.

If you're still missing some tools, you can go talk to Isabelle and she'll give you some small quests, and tools to go along with them! There's also a way to get the shops to open up earlier, which if you haven't unlocked yet, it should be pretty soon.
I hope you have fun playing ACNL
how do i do that if i talk to her at her work or my desk it just has basic stuff like ordinances etc, and if i talk to her all i get is her telling me to ge infront of the counter

You have to talk to her over the counter. In front of her desk should be a little green mat on the ground, if you stand on it, and select the counter, you can get some more options to talk to her about stuff. For the tools, you'll want to choose the option asking for advice on living in the town.

ok thanks!

Ohh this is hard because I love so many things about the game. I really miss the post office as well! they gave us a dinky little postcard stand in the airport in NH :(((((

Least favourite: grass wear like you said and lack of storage space and pocket space stand out to me as big ones. I do feel the dialog was one of the most lacking things, gets very repetitive esp once you hit best friend status with everyone.
Most favourite: i absolutely love the design and aesthetics of everything: gorgeous furniture and housing options, and my favorite player and villager models (which they also use again in pocket camp). the world feels so full yet also cozy, like tortimer's island and the shops on mainstreet.

my least favorite things have to be the fact that flowers disappeared and the randomness of villager move in plot placing. the number of times a brand new villager took out an area I was decorating with flowers (hybrids too)... 😭 and the number of times I accidentally ran on a flower one too many times and watched it disappear!

on the other hand, my favorite things had to be tortimer island and all the unlocks in the town area. I have so many happy memories playing the tortimer island minigames with my younger brother, catching beetles in between rounds. 💕 it was such a great activity for multiplayer with friends too. I love visiting each other, but it's not the same as engaging in games like that! I also really loved the town upgrades system, unlocking each additional building and being able to upgrade the nooklings' shop!
