I think Apples are the prettiest in the snow
I love peaches personally, but apples in the winter are lovely.

Apples, just because of the contrast in the snow, and how red/and white in general is a winter holiday color combo.
Peaches are my favorite fruit in game though.

I said none but i dont think winter is dumb. I just dont like seen perfectly ripe fruit in autumn nor in winter, i just have one fruit of each fruit tree near my nooks, i tend to collect all fruits and try to have then fruit naked until summer comes again 😊

Apples and cherries look nice in snow, it has a nice contrast.

Although I'd say cherries more because it reminds me of cherry cake to me when the tree is covered in snow like this

I think peaches, mainly cause I associate them with winter (idk why) but they just seem like they belong in winter.

Cherries and Apples. They have the best contrast with the trees covered in snow.

I'm really partial to apples and oranges. Apples are the most attractive fruit in the game, and I associate oranges with winter. The contrast of the cool, pale snow and desaturated trees makes the bright orange and red pop.

I personally think any fruit looks silly in winter. I mean it’s winter. Plants generally don’t produce fruit in winter.
But if I had to pick one I’d say peaches. They have the most pastel colour of all the fruits and I find they don’t clash with the snow quite as much.

I think the round fruits look the nicest, apples and oranges. But the red color of the apples looks quite pretty against both the snow and the pale mint-colored leaves of the fruit trees in winter.

I went with apples and peaches. I picked apples over cherries, because I think cherries should be more of a summer fruit (same with oranges honestly). Peaches are a great option too because I feel that rather than contrast against the snow, they actually compliment it a bit better.

Peaches were my native fruit in City Folk and New Leaf, so that's actually my favorite fruit in general. But I've actually started thinking about changing my trees... so that it appears that certain fruit is "in season." So switching out all fruit trees with plain hardwood trees. Then change some of them out to cherries and oranges during the summer, but come fall change them back to plain hardwood. In the fall, change some of the OTHER trees to pears and apples. I think that winter is silly to have fruit (or flowers) growing, but I wouldn't mind having that be when my peaches are around. Spring is a time for renewed growth, so none of the fruit is ready yet! I don't know, just an idea in my mind, not sure if I really want to implement it or not.

I think this is a fun idea—I love the idea of things being more “in season”.

Surprisingly though, oranges and other citrus fruit are typically harvested during the winter months. That’s why you’ll start seeing clementines (often called “cuties”) appear in grocery stores this time of year.

I didn't know that!! But thank you! Then I'd definitely have oranges in the winter time... actually I'm going to look up all the fruits and list them in the seasons they actually seem to be more prevalent!

Winter: Oranges (November through May)
Spring: Cherries (April through July)
Summer: Peaches (May through September)
Autumn: Apples (September through November)
Pears are an oddity in that they really seem to be a late summer- early fall fruit. (August through October)

I change my flowers by my shops and houses month to month - although flowers by the residents' houses do tend to stay the same for a few months at a time. So I could do the same with my trees so that they match what I have above. There would actually always be fruit of some kind every month, so it's not as if the island would be without something at any given time. I do still think that apples are nice in winter for contrast, and peaches are good for just vibing with the winter colors. But if oranges are nature's choice... who am I to argue?

Glad I was able to help! I love cooking with fresh produce, so I tend to pay attention to what’s in season when.

Personally, I think keeping apples throughout winter makes some sense. Apples (while not freshly harvested) are very popular during the colder months because they store so well. While they might not grow naturally in the snow, they still look right because I associate the flavors with winter dishes. So they’re not 100% accurate but kind of in the spirit of the season!

Apples because of the red contrasting against the snow looks really pretty and they look like giant baubles hanging in the trees at Christmas.

I think oranges and pears, I really like how they stand out so if I ever decorate with fruit trees during winter I'll use these types! I also think the colour of the peaches compliments the snow really well too.

This is actually a really good idea. It's will take a lot of work and remembering to change the trees out.

As for the topic of this thread, I think the red fruits (apples and cherries) look really nice against the snow background of the fruit trees.
