The Museum has been one of my favorite buildings in Animal Crossing since the beginning. After taking a stroll throughout the Museum in City Folk, I was reminded of how much I like that game's museum compared to New Leaf's. Its fossil, insect, and paintings sections are my favorite in the whole series.

Which game's museum was your favorite? Each of them is slightly different so it would be interesting to see which one people prefer.

I really like the feel and tone of GameCube's, but for the sake of complexity and vastness I prefer New Leaf's.

I like the aesthetic in the Gamecube version...but...I'll say New Leaf gets my pick. Mostly the huge aquarium, deep-sea creatures and mostly since I've played New Leaf the most. :p

As others have said, while I like the feel the GCN game's museum, New Leaf just has so much it's hard to ignore.

I chose Wild World because the Roost was still there and Celestes observatory. I hated the upstairs to the NL museum and how they took her job away ):

I haven't played the GC one, but I voted for Wild World because I like having the Roost and Observatory as part of the museum.

Also Blathers gave long winded, but accurate information on the donated items.

He didn't just say the one thing over and over as in New Leaf.

I would say Wild World and City Folk had the best museums, mostly because of the fact that both had The Roost and observatory built-in and I find in general the atmosphere of both quite good. The Game Cube museum is kinda lame, then again it was basically the very first version of the museum ever, therefore understandable that it didn't had so much to offer at the beginning, as they started to expanded it more in the later games. As for New Leaf's museum, this one pretty much sucks in my opinion and is also my least favorite here. I mean, I do kinda understand why they may turn The Roost into it's own building, because of PWPs being a thing now and such, but I found it more charming when it was still part of the museum to be honest. And the fact that they get rid off the observatory was the biggest crime they did in this game, like if they can turn The Roost into it's own thing, why not the observatory too? I would have even paid 1 million bells to just to have it in my town and seeing Celeste in her old job. The only good thing the NL museum has are the aquariums, which looking beautiful, but that's kinda it.

Oof, I didn't really think about the whole celeste and roost thing. If I knew that, I would've picked City Folk. Mostly City Folk since I like that better than Wild World. :p

Blathers in New Leaf. :(

Donate a bug:

This (bug name) reminds me vaguely of when I was but a chick in my mothers nest..."

Donate fish:

"The (fish name) reminds me of a time when I was still in my baby feathers..."

Donate Sea Creatures:

"The (sea creature name) reminds me of a time when my dear mother tucked me under her wing..."

Bring back the talkative Wild World Blathers!

Yep, I sometimes want to know some of the info. Maybe, you can say if you want to hear his blathering? Just so some people want to hear it or some people don't want to since they're in a hurry. :]

His name is Blathers because he blathers on.
He doesn't give any information on the donations in New Leaf. I was shocked by the dumbing down of almost everyone.

The villagers dialogue was so limited.

And let's not forget Phyllis.
Where is her usual dry wit?

Gone. Like Blathers' blathering. :(

I looked over City Folk's museum and I like the layout of the bugs. :]

It's in one room (which I prefer) and the art room also looks good, with those rope partitions and walls like that. :3

I'd love to see some pics of the CF museum. ^_^

I voted for City Folk even though I've never played that game. I've only played the GameCube version and New Leaf.

The GameCube museum is nostalgic for me and I loved Blathers' personality back then, but I have to admit that the museum itself was a bit basic.

New Leaf is prettier, mainly because of the graphics upgrade, but I feel like it's lacking something because they neutered Blathers. I also love the idea of the observatory and wish it was included in New Leaf.

So I decided to vote for either Wild World or City Folk since they had the observatory and, I assume, a talkative Blathers. When I looked up photos online, the layout of the City Folk museum seemed a bit more pleasing to me, so it won my vote.

One of the things I hate about New Leaf: The fact that they made both Bathers and Celeste so dull. The museum losing it's charm is already sad, this is just the worst they have done in that game. That and removing also the observatory.

City folk/ wild world. I liked making constellations and i liked how roost was already there and it did't take up a chunk of your town. Seriously I wish they would have put Roost up in the town area.

Blathers had more to say in the GCN, so donating new items or animsls was more interesting, at least the first time through.

Wild World had the Roost and Celeste's
observatory which made me visit the museum more often

New Leaf has a better aquarium, which has always been my favorite room to admire, and that's why my vote went to New Leaf.

That's what I liked too.
The Roost and Observatory.

I used to make constellations of all my pets I have loved and lost over the years.

It was a nice feature.
I don't know why they removed it and stuck poor Celeste in a museum shop in New Leaf. :(

Blathers just isn't Blathers anymore.
I hope in New Horizons they give him back his voice, and his wit.

LOVED the way he used to react in Wild World when you donated a cockroach. :)

I really loved New Leaf's one! It was so amazing and the I liked how each section puts you in a different mood! Like, the bug section is so colorful and noisy because of all the insect sounds; the aquarium is calm and soothing and the Fossil section looks like a real museum!
I'm sad that there's no observatory though, it was such a cute little place.

I love the New Leaf museum, but I've spent way more time in the Wild World one. But aesthetically talking I prefer the New Leaf one. :)
