Well, with the first Fireworks Show now having come and gone, we can judge them. Which AC game has your favorite version of the event?
I'm going to go with New Horizons having the prettiest display. It was a gorgeous display with great music.
While NH was definitely the best in my opinion, I feel the original game's is the most special. Wild World, City Folk, New Leaf, and New Horizons have one every weekend, but the original game's was just once a year, making it feel a lot more special and exclusive.
I only really experienced NH and the original, so I voted for NH. However, I'll never forget the original growing, how cool it was to have something reflect off the water.
The others have the nostalgia and novelty factor but NH’s would probably be my favorite. There’s just more things to do and the customized fireworks were a very nice addition
i don’t remember the fireworks from wild world, unfortunately, but out of the 3 games in the series that i’ve played, new horizons definitely has my vote! the quality is just so gorgeous and i love the new feature of being able to shoot off custom designs as fireworks
I don't have New Horizons but I purposely went on YouTube to watch a video of fireworks in New Horizons and I've got to say, the fireworks look graphically nice on New Horizons but I prefer the New Leaf version. Not sure how different the customization element for fireworks in NH is but in New Leaf you could ask Isabelle to add custom patterns to your fireworks so I don't think it's something new to NH, just refined maybe?
I like how you could hear the sound of fireworks going off even when you are inside your house or even on the train coming back to your town. Not sure if New Horizons have the same thing. From the video, the town hall and the town square were in the same spot, I prefer having the town hall in a separate location as the town square. Somehow seeing fireworks go off behind the big tree in the middle of the town square in New Leaf is more satisfying than seeing a town hall Seeing villagers around the town stop and watch the fireworks then clapping is nice.
I'll be bias and say I like New Leaf more since I play New Leaf and not New Horizons
I'm gonna say Gamecube maybe it's the nostalgia calling but there's just something so charming about only being able to see the reflection of fireworks in the water.
I never really played around the fireworks festival on GC but doesn’t the way the camera work mean that you CAN’T see the fireworks? I heard mentions of seeing reflections on the pond but that just doesn’t feel the same.
I’ve only seen the fireworks festival in NL and NH. Unpopular opinion: I wasn’t impressed by either tbh. I think I liked NL’s better because at least there were a few pieces of furniture that you could get. I’m all about events that give you furniture or recipes. If there was more furniture in the game before they released the fireworks show in NH, maybe I’d like it more.

I did enjoy the festival more when @JSS visited though since I rarely have visitors.
Wild World because of how they made the sky take up the whole top screen in that game and the fireworks stand out brightly against the night sky. I also like how the fireworks sound due to DS sound limitations.
