Who are the best (and worst) hamster villagers and why? 🐹

So, I can really only say I like Soleil, had her New Leaf for a bit, and she was very edgy.
I do adore Grahams design, and Flurrys. Marlo is lil butler in hamster form.
I am not too keen on the others. I did had Apple for such a LONG time in New Leaf, and I vaguely remember when she was in boxes, adn I got someone to take her, who LOVED her. So good memories all around.

I had to go with Flurry! She's a dreamie and permie in my NL town and is actually my mayor's neighbour. Literally lives right next to her which I always really enjoyed. I don't have any direct neighbours like that in New Horizons due to my layout, but I remember being very fond of logging onto the game and Flurry always being close by. I absolutely adore her simple design. Her mouth shape and eyes are absolutely adorable, and the pink around her mouth absolutely sold me. Flurry will always have a special place in my heart, and it was hard to hold back from not bringing her back on my NH game. I also just wanted to say that I love that Apple is high! I've always heard such mixed feelings about her (ik people call her creepy) so it's nice to see the Apple love in this thread!

My least favourite hamster villager would be Rodney. His whole face is just so off-putting to me and his colours don't work well imo. There's a little too much going on. Honestly, I forgot he existed until I whipped out the hamster list and he's not someone I need to see again, no offense to any Rodney lovers out there. He's not one of my lead favourite designs of all time at the very least, so at least he has that going for him when it comes to my personal ranking.

I honestly like all the hampster islanders they are all so cute I had rodney for a bit on my island. I would like to have apple sometime too...

I like all the hamster villagers. They are all so cute. My favorites are hamlet and Flurry. Would love to have Hamphrey on my island one day.

My favorite Hamster villager is Clay, due to his unique dogū-inspired design.

I'm not really fond of the Hamsters, there aren't that many of them and I only find Hamphrey and Soleil particularly appealing.

My least favorite is Flurry because one of my pet peeves in terms of Animal Crossing character design is some of the animals lacking noses to go for a more minimalist and theoretically cuter look. I still like a number of villagers that lack noses, like Ankha and some other Cats, but I feel like some villagers would look better with them, like Marshal. In the case of Flurry in particular, her lack of nose is more glaringly apparent because she has that fleshy muzzle. She's one of if not my least favorite designs in the series in general.

Since he was added after this previous post was made, my new favorite hamster is Marlo. I absolutely love how he resembles Vito Corleone from The Godfather and how his name is probably a reference to the actor Marlon Brando. Unfortunately he didn't fit my island's theme and I haven't had him as a resident, but I hope to in a future game.

The hamsters are one of my least favorite species in Animal Crossing. That being said, my favorites are Soleil and Marlo.

My thoughts on each of the hamster villagers:

Apple: She's cute I guess. But she lacks something. She almost looks too happy...

Clay: He has an interesting design. He's apparently based on a dogū figurine. I'd say he's my third favorite hamster, but the competition isn't very stiff, so.

Flurry: She's okay, but I think her complete lack of a nose throws me off. If she had a nose she would probably look cuter to me.

Graham: Okay, I think I'm just not a big fan of pig noses. I will say that I think he looks much better with different glasses that don't obscure his eyes as much.

Hamlet: He's fine. Well, as far as the hamsters go.

Hamphrey: His facial expression isn't my favorite, but I like his color scheme.

Marlo: He has a cool and classic look, like a spy or mob boss. I like his distinct facial expression and the black and white coloring.

Rodney: Well, I like the teal color of his fur.

Soleil: I like her mismatched ears and her green eyes. Orange isn't my favorite color, but overall she looks pretty good for a hamster villager!

My favorite's clay. His teal ears and accents match the rest of his coloring well, and his design is just really cool and unique. He reminds me of the gym leader clay a lot too.
The rest of the hamsters are ok, but my least favorite would have to be apple since there's something about her eyes that I don't like.

you know what's funny is i love hamsters so much in real life you'd think i love the ones in animal crossing but i do not. i think the shape of them is so cute and chubby and perfect but their individual designs are just... not it.

i guess flurry would be my favourite, white and blue is my thing but by god i wish she had a nose! she would be perfect with a nose where is it.

my least favourite is apple. she might even be my least favourite villager of all time, god it's so irrational but i actually hate her so much and i always have, like it's insane but her design just infuriates me for some reason. i think it's in the eyes but i don't know, she has the most damn punchable face i've ever seen i'm sorry apple stans but the sight of her must bring forth horrible memories from a past life or something it's so stupid lmao.

i also hate graham but significantly less, he just took sooooo long to leave my new leaf town lol

I think the hamsters are cute in general -- i just really like small things tho. Apple is probably my favourite because of her face! it's very.... (●╹◡╹●)

as for worst, im so sorry rodney. i had to vote you off the island. he unexpectedly moved in and stole a plot that i was saving and from then on i just... could not like him. i had him quarantined to one side and slapped a whole forest around him so i hopefully wouldn't see him. i don't know man. he set off my fight or flight response. he deserves better.

I really really hope they add more hamsters in the future games. Hamsters have potential but currently the hamsters we have are kinda just okay to me.

Best:
Hamlet - Great name and he just looks so friendly and happy. I just love small size jock villagers.

Worst:
Graham - I want to like him because I do enjoy how you can just faintly see his eyes behind his glasses but then I don't like his teeth/nose
Clay - Not a fan of his markings
Rodney - I won't even say anything because he's been through enough but yeah he's one of the worst hamsters.

Apple is both my mom's and I personal favorite. I actually helped her get Apple on her island either last year or the year before. She was wanting her since practically New Leaf days and I don't blame her. She's the best.
