Who are the "popular" villagers?

Not necessarily your favourites but who is probably the most popular bunch of villagers?

I seem to find the likes of Julian, Merengue, Zucker and Stitches most popular tbh.

There's quite alot, I have a fair share of them in my town, not exactly proud of it either.

Julian, Marshal, Merengue, Stitches, Zucker, Marina, Molly, Ankha, Coco, most of the wolves, Colton... Maybe Pekoe too.

Seconding Colton. I got him in my town and mentioned it on Reddit. People were offering me all sorts of things for him.

At the time, I thought Julian was the only favorite pony.

Others I've seen were Cherry, Static, Kid Cat, Genji, Kabuki, Lolly, Lucky...any of the villagers that don't look like any old dog or cat.

Edit: Oh, and that octopus that looks like takoyaki. What's his name?

I find everyone loves Marshal, Coco, Molly, Stitches, Tangy, Julian, Bruce, Fauna, Muffy, Beau, Kid cat, Rosie, Merengue etc.

Everyone hates Hippeux

My personal favourites are O'hare, Fauna, Beau, Chester, and Maple.

Diana has grown in popularity. At least for the snooty personalities. The deer villagers in general. I see more people looking for deer now than wolves.

I really don't see why Molly is suddenly getting so popular. I just really don't like the ducks. Sorry.

The wolves. Almost all of them get a ton of love.
And the deer, hamsters, and octopi.

I personally like the horses, monkeys, and alligators

All the ones I can think of kind of from most to least popular are Julian, Stitches, Merengue, the deer (especially Diana/Fauna/Beau), the octopuses (less so Octavian), the wolves (less so Freya and Lobo), Lolly, Ankha, Punchy, Bob, Flurry, Lucky, Molly, Tia, Flora, Tangy, Rosie, O'Hare, Colton

It also depends where you are. Merengue and Marshal are HUGE on tumblr but on other websites may be still popular but not AS popular. Personally I have a lot of popular villagers myself, but I definitely feel no shame. They're popular because they're cuties, and there's nothing wrong with conforming with popular opinions anyway. At least not in things like Animal Crossing.

Tbh even though deers get a lot of attention, I find Deidre quite underrated, always find her trolling about in my town now.

I always send him letters when I visit that girl's town. Ahahah ! She told me she would give it to me once he has given her his picture and wants to move out. On a more shameful note though, she told me he had shown her some of my letters in which I have been trying to sway him in my town and she thought it was hilarious.
