Who are the "popular" villagers?

Tbh even though deers get a lot of attention, I find Deidre quite underrated, always find her trolling about in my town now.

She's been gaining a lot more popularity. I had her for a while, I think she was either my 8th or 9th villager to move in from the beginning. I didn't hesitate when she asked to move after a month. I didn't care for her much. I ended up voiding her since I wasn't really apart of the forum community. Just the other day she started coming to my main street. I've spoken to her a few times on main street and I feel like I should have given her more of a chance. But I don't regret letting her go. Regret not receiving her picture though.

I have Zucker but I'm probably gunna let him go soon. I know Pietro is quite popular.

Katt isn't the least popular character. It's may very well be the least popular cat character. But hippos, mice, rhinos, horses ostridges usually have some charcters that are even less popular. In the last very elaborate poll on characters popularity, Harry came down as the least desirable character in AC:NL.

anyways, some really populars i know is stitches, marshal, julian, ankha, zucker, colton, o'hare (..?), diana, merengue, chrissy, beau, francine, julian, marina, whitney, rosie, etc etc etc

Yes that fact that people talk about her a lot in hate. I liked katt. Just don't have them I heard a lot of hate for CoCo too. But she is a sweetheart!

It's definitely interesting to see popularity of certain villagers actually change over time. I remember Coco being pretty huge toward the beginning, and that seems to have died down a bit in comparison to like...Marshal. I didn't even know who Marshal was back then.

No seriously if Katt had seperated eyes she'd get way more love. I love her 'cause she's a cool rock-star kitty and I can look past her...eyes..
I also wouldn't think she's the least favorite cat villager since there's still cats like Tabby.. And being the only uchi cat could make her wanted with people that want cats.. cough cough >_>

As for Deirdre I've seen soo many giveaways for her! So I guess she isn't that popular, although most likely wanted by people who love deer villagers.

I find the popularity matrix as a whole kind of interesting. I had Fang, who was apparently a lusted-for-dreamie for half of humanity and I moved him on pretty quickly. He was nice enough, just ...boring. The characters I find to be underrated (which is fine by me because then I have no competition in getting them) are awesome to me. I literally traded a rare item, 30k bells & a basket of perfect pears for Octavian because I <3 the cranky/traditional characters. I was sad when Limberg moved out even though when he was one of my originals, I thought I'd hit him with my squeaky hammer. But he turned out to be thoughtful, understated and requested awesome PWPs. I love Nan, my "normal" goat because she's constantly doing amazingly intricate gardening and has managed to spawn loads of hybrids around her house and for some reason, she went on a streak of mailing my mayor character bonsai -- really pretty ones. I kinda hate Drago because he planted his house in the middle of a grove of perfect pears and knocked out 3 trees. Then Biskit moved away and I was fine with that because apart from the hammock, I have no interest in the lazy characters' PWPs. I have 2 uchi, Flo (whom I love, even if she's a snarky ***** sometimes) and Mira, who can be a bit snarky sometimes, but is entertaining and is also a neon rabbit. Sprinkle is underrated, too; she's sweet and loves to randomly offer to play hide and seek. Greta is a mouse and I like her because the snoots ask for cool PWPs, too. Snake, my jock rabbit, is responsible for the solar panel and Mira asked for the wind turbine. Sprinkle asked for the archway sculpture, Nan requested a flower arch.... basically, my town looks incredible because the characters I have ask for awesome things and then I build them.

Also, I am a lover of the octopodal sorts, so I'd happily welcome in Marina as well, but not big on Zucker. He's a lazy and I ain't got time for that. ^_~

Both, actually.But I find I get along with the villagers who share my taste in PWPs. ^_~

I seriously love the fun ones. But the lazies? Not that fun. They just want me to grab fruit for them from the tree their literally standing next to and want me to buy their default shirt for umptyhojillion bells. I like the ones with more dynamic personalities.

Basically, I guess, my point is that it doesn't matter to me who's popular in the global ideal. It matters to me who I enjoy having in my village. I don't enjoy Drago. I'd trade him for a normal in a heartbeat. But he just moved in and I just swapped out Fang, Limberg and Biskit, so I'm not looking to change my lineup for a bit. ^_^

I've hated lazies since WW. With their ugly kiddie furniture and only talking about food and sleep. I mean, come on =.= I'm definitely lazy myself but that doesn't mean I'm some gross person who can only talk about food and sleeping..
I can only imagine lazies as old dudes that still live with their moms, are extremely overweight, never shower and have no friends (obviously because they only talk about food and sleeping..

I know they don't all have kiddie furniture but that's how I remember it from WW >_>

Ahhh.. From what I see here: Merengue, Julian, stitches, Zucker, Bob, Ankha, Tangy, Lolly (most cats), Lucky, Diana, Bruce, Beau, Zell, Lopez (most deer), Octopus characters, the hamsters, Chrissy, Francine, Ruby, Muffy, Marshall, and the wolves.

Not so popular seems to be horses (minus Julian), hippos, monkeys, ducks, frogs, chickens, kangaroos, birds, anteaters, and alligators.

I have gotten lucky with 3 of my kids having games, cuz we can trade each other, and they don't know or care who is "popular". My middle sonny happily gave me my sweet Stitches whom, I adore. My oldest son wants penguins and he only has Sprinkle so far and is holding Bruce for me and Hippeaux for my middle son. My middle son wants Hippos (although I want Rocco, as he has been in all of my ac games.) He is holding Blanche and Queenie for me. He adores Hippeaux who seems to be so unpopular! My daughter wants "pretty" characters, so those that are pink, blue, and purple I try and get for her. I have gotten her Apple and Ruby. My dream list I have been lucky to get most of through them, though still waiting on some to ping to move to me, like Bruce, Queenie, & Blanche. I am patiently waiting for Benjamin to move (after I get Zell to his reserved home for Rocco) as he is blocking where I want to put my last house!!!

I think they're all pretty popular except for a few like Renee and Kyle. Maybe Hamlet and Bam too, I'm not sure how popular they are :0

Marshal, Julian, Marina, Merengue, Molly, Diana, Ankha, Fauna, Fang, Whitney, Stitches, Bob, Tangy, Bam, Bruce, Lopez, most of the wolves except maybe Lobo, Zucker, Apollo, Tia, Zell, Sprinkle, Lucky, Punchy, Beau, Kid Cat, and I'm sure there's some I am missing.



"Popular" ones I have are:
-Merengue, who was a starter. Wasn't planning on keeping her but I fell in love.
-Skye, one of my first ten villagers. Immediately became one of my favorites in the game
-Bruce, moved in randomly, will go when I get his picture
-Zell, who moved in via campsite and will go once I get his picture
-Molly, same as Zell.

Marshal, Merengue, Stitches, Julian, Zucker, and Ankha are pretty high on the popularity scale.
There's plenty more but, those were probably the more notable ones.
