Who Are Your Villager Must Haves? (Dreamies)

regardless if you're going to have a theme or not, some of us have those
favorite villagers we just love to see in our towns! i'm curious to know which
you guys are absolutely going to be striving for or would love to have on your island!

I'm not being as picky this time around, since I kinda let the concept of dreamies kind of take control of how I played a bit too much when I first joined these forums back in 2015 and found out what dreamies were. However...

I can't live without Skye and Wolfgang, so without a doubt those two will be a part of my island. I'm going to try and rotate out villagers as they come, and share them with users here who might want them, free of charge. I'm also going to try to invite newly introduced villagers to New Horizons to my island as well, since they're new. Whether I keep them or not is up for debate, though.

Edit: basic TL;DR is I'm treating my island as a psuedo cycling town to spread villagers around throughout the first couple months

trying to get your dreamies in new leaf was a real struggle at times!
it was always super nice to meet people on here who gave away for free of charge!
i occasionally did both, items as well <3 skye is suuuper cute, love her!!!
i have to get bob. he was one of the first villagers in my town and never ever got rid of him.
i love the new bear villager with the sparkly eyes.. might be a keeper tbh UwU

Having amiibo cards must be so nice, they're just so expensive in Canada and extremely hard to find and I'm too anxious to buy NFE tags from third-party sites.

I've got 10 Amiibo cards for my dreamies, which includes Merengue, Stitches, and Molly. All 10 are important, but those 3 were/are imperative.

scoot has such a nice eye-grabbing color. i think he'd sit quite nicely on the island tbh!

i wish they weren't so overpriced just to buy a single card lol, i'm always trying to buy a bulk

honestly, I haven't found my "favorite" villager yet, but i'm really hoping that with new horizons, i'll be able to!! my favorite species in would probably be the sheeps, so i'm really hoping that i'll be able to interact with a few!!

i'm open to having any villagers this time around tbh, but i would really love to have molly, beau, or apollo. those 3 are my absolute favorite villagers..

yes!!! sheeps!! i love pietro!! he's such a colorful big floof!
i don't like the sweaters so much in new horizons bc they don't look as FLOOF anymore
but.. maybe it'll grow on me! hope to get pietro for sure and his card too ;U;

stitches. i love him too much to not have him on my island. the more i see hornsby the more i wish i had his amiibo card, so if he somehow manages to find his way to my island he may have to stay for a long while.

It depends on the dialogue in this game and if it's as repetitive as New Leaf which made me not care so much about which dream villagers I wanted since they all share a lot of the same text especially if villagers have the same personality type. I would like Bob, Tangy, Snake, Chief, and probably Peanut.

All the cards I have are for characters that share a birthday with a family member, myself, or my best friend. It's really the only way I would even acknowledge my animal neighbors.

stitches was suuuper popular here. i remember when everyone was trying to get him in their villager lineup! good choice for sure, he's made lots of people happy. hornsby's color is very pretty, i can see how he'd grow on you for sure.

i didn't like how new leaf had the same text and you couldn't interact with them very much.
i'm really hoping there's lots more interactions and dialogue with these boogers.

oh, that's a very personal way in building an attachment to specific characters! that's very sweet!

It?s complicated for me, because I have at least twenty equal favorites?if not double that?and picking any one over the others is near impossible. Since we sadly can?t have that many at once, I?m just a bit reluctant to get my heart too set on a particular animal in advance.

That said, I do have their cards, and have allowed myself to scan one in on rare occasions, so I?ll probably pick some eventually ;ェ;

There's no villagers that I absolutely must have, I'll go with the flow and try and get new villagers to see new faces. Hopefully I can avoid the ones I strongly dislike though.

I guess it would be cool to get Caroline because we share the same name, but I don't need to have her.

I probably won’t actively seek out any dreamies until the game has been out for a good amount of time. But once I do, it will be Bunnie and Peanut. They've been my two faves since Wild World.
