Who Are Your Villager Must Haves? (Dreamies)

I'm trying to be a little more open minded this time around and not have a set in stone list of dreamies. However, there are a few that I feel like I need to have on my island:

Reneigh, Wolfgang, New Wolf, and Glasses Cat

After those four, I have a pretty generous list of villagers I'd be happy to invite to my island.

glasses cat will be making towns left and right, huh!! very popular lad in school i bet UwU, i saw the new wolf girl today, she looks very pretty, it's so hard to say because a lot of villagers who didn't even look as appealing in older games look brand new and fresh in the new graphics! i'm sure we'll all be changing islanders a lot LOL

very nice! i have to look through everyone and it's going to be hard to choose with limited numbers on our islands considering there's hundreds to choose from! i have some affordable ones to buy but most of my best ones are bunnies and cats especially.. and a lot of cats are very expensive :^( i'm thinking of trying to find people who resell handmade amiibo cards for the characters i want since they'd probably be sold a lot less and all same price

I imagine! amiibos for Molly were very expensive... so my boyfriend managed to make a Molly amiibo card for me

I'm hoping to keep my amiibo use SUPER minimal because like hedgehugs said, I can't wait to form new bonds

that's nice!! many people are going for marshal, he's just very aesthetically cute and pleasing to look at! he's also a smol lil bean with a lil smug personality s o he's just ..ideal.!!! vic is also very nice, i guess i'd probs say all villagers are nice and valid tbh at this rate bUT some are lowkey annoying like kITT..but i somehow still care for her

i have all my favourite villager amiibos but im tempted to wait until my island is full before scanning anyone in, just so i have more of a chance to get any new villagers. having all of your faves immediately isnt as fun

I don't TBT attitude to amiibo spoofing so I don't want to share any direct links, but it can be done using NFC tags you can buy online, and your phone. The tags are stickers so you can print out something cute and stick them to make a cute custom card!

i don't recall seeing a max villager limit anywhere yet but considering there can be up to 8? human players, villager limit might be 8 down from acnl's 10? depends on how big the map will be in order to fit that many houses plus whatever shops and outdoor stuff. but i WILL have you zucker

IF you look at a lot of PAX east footage they only used up like 1/3rd ish of the space and they had like Ables, Nook's Cranny, Museum, 5 villagers, and 2 houses on it.... so I think this map is much bigger than anticipated. I think its at the very least 10, but i hope we get 15 for a good even number, or 16 to equal 2 of each personality and the original AC number

the current twitter is going through Nook Phone apps, tomorrow they will talk about the map app and I think we may find out the villager quota then.

Also I responded yesterday to this, which made me think about my ten dreamy villager line up and of course its changing
I am pending a trade for a plucky amiibo card and I think I'm gonna use her over Renee.

Honestly, I have quite a few dreamies, but I've never had Diana and Pekoe, and I just want them to live in my town.

I don't want any dreamies this time around. I want a natural flow like in the GC version. No more dreamie hunting I want to meet many new faces! Maybe the ones I really like will stay.

Had you asked me this before i saw the new villagers i would have told you that i plan on getting the exact same ones i have in new leaf, but i am not so sure anymore. The new ones are SO CUTE!!!

Punchy is my animal crossing BFF so he'll be an islander as soon as the game allows me to scan his card in lol. I also really like Marshal from my New Leaf town but don't have his card so hopefully he decides to come along to the island too. Other than that the new cat villager with heterochromia looks super interesting, and the new purple bear (hamster?) with anime eyes looks really cute so hopefully I get to see them on my island adventure too. c:

i'm going to try and avoid dreamies for a little while and just let the game somewhat play its natural course, but some of my fav villagers i'd love on my island are fauna, molly, june, dobie, diana, o'hare, maddie, teddy, lily and kiki ! not forgetting the new villagers we haven't met yet, plus a potentially larger villager limit!

might be different this time? lots of time to choose and since we're limited to one island, i'm sure we'll change islanders a lot more so you just might enjoy a deer for some time! julian is nice~ i think my favorite horse is cleo tho! muffy is cute, i love the sheeps, just wish they had them keep their floof

Yes! I'm hoping the villager max will be higher (maybe with functionality like NL, where you had to invite a camper to get a 10th villager; for those who don't want too many, it'd be great as an opt-in system) too, I love seeing villagers interact. Hopefully they'll do that more often again. I feel like WW, villager conversations happened all the time, but in NL it's rarer.

Glasses cat and new wolf are really fun-looking, too. Glasses cat reminds me of all my favorite anime characters, like Kyoya from Ouran.

Yeah, it's a shame for the sheep to be all tucked away inside a sweater! I thought the scarves really suited Muffy's style especially. Wonder why they changed it.
