Why am I not getting different fruit/flower types on island tours?

I’ve gone on about 8 island mystery tours and I keep getting my native fruit, peaches, and my native flower, tulips, sometimes windflowers. I want roses and hyacinths so bad lol. I’m also only on day three, and I set up the three houses plots and now I can’t get any villagers on islands either. Kinda confused!

Best way I can explain how I think the island tours work are that they have 'tiers' of rarity -- common, uncommon, and rare:

- Common tours will generally be your typical material, bug, and fish islands. These islands will normally, if not always, have your native fruit and flower. These are basically just to grab loot and go.
- Uncommon tours are the tours that are more likely to have non-native fruits and flowers, plus the benefits of "common" tours, being material, bug, and fish.
- Rare tours are the tours that will generally just have anything going for them. Rich in resources, bugs and fish for extremely high amounts of Bell turnout. These will often even have non-native fruits and flowers, sometimes even hybrid flowers.

Yep. Once you get Nook's Cranny, the options open up.

Every town has its native flower; the shops will sell select flower types that reflect this c: seems like we get access to more flower types as nooks cranny is upgraded but I'm not 100% sure
If you want a specific flower you'll likely have to find someone who's island sells it
