Why do you think some coloured presents are better than others?

Hey! I am new and this is my first Christmas on TBT but I am wondering how to people decide what presents might be the best? Like from what I have seen people has priority lists of colours. Whats your take on it?

Some people have a priority because they want the colours to lineup with their other collectibles- an aesthetic preference whilst they are wrapped. Others have decided to take the risk on one colour of their choice, that it will have be a valuable collectible.

Everyone has a different reason but plenty of others just want one of each colour (in fact I think that’s what most want but idk for sure) so they want the next colour that they don’t have yet so that they have at least one of each new collectible. There are no differing values on each colour present. It’s entirely ambiguous as to what they will become.

That was honestly my first guess and now I get it :)

honestly i just wanted one of each colour for a complete line up, so if i get more im fine with any colour now, however i might stick to pink since its one of my favourite colours and is super cute

Not entirely sure what the long term logic of it is considering they are temporary and we have no idea which collectibles are in each one, but I can definitely see some people getting them in certain orders for lineup purposes.

When it comes to betting on which present is best value-wise, it definitely is mostly a bet and I doubt history will repeat itself in that regard. If I remember right, the Lump of Coal was the orange present which was the most valuable of the collectibles (long term) last time a Christmas event was like this.
