I need Audie to move so I can get my dreamy Merengue and I need her to just leave, can someone tell me the best method to kick her out?

Its mostly RNG! the best thing to do is completely ignore her

I'm curious! Do villagers still ping you when they want to move? I've only experienced my villagers walking around with a thinking bubble.

Ok yea that makes sense, I'm hoping she pings me to leave!

I don't think villagers "ping" you to move out, you know how sometimes you see villagers wandering around with a thinking posture and a thought bubble above their head? Speaking to them in this state is when they mention they're moving. Saying bye makes them move out the next day.

Oops yea I meant that thought bubble above their head lol

Are you inviting Merengue using Amiibo and the campsite? I saw a video where someone did the three days of inviting the villager and completing their requests, on the third day the villager agreed and contacted Resident Services to find there were no open spaces. There was then dialogue options to imply someone was looking to leave the island and the player was able to choose who to suggest.

The nice thing is your new villager does the dirty work for you. No hard feelings, no beating with nets or ostracizing for days. So it's good for the conscience too. ;)

Not sure if ignoring works since one of my starters moved out today after speaking to her daily/giving her gifts. I think it's completely random.

I've read they leave if you talk to them too many times a day, like you're too clingy with them. Not sure if that's true or if it really is just random. I just got Kidd a few days ago and he already tried to move out. I'm trying not to take it personally, I know my island still kind of sucks and all but geez.
