They would be stupid not to include it.

What do you think of the theme for this game will be? Will we still be Mayor or would we even be leader of an animal nation?

What features from Pocket Camp would you like to see in AC Switch? The friendship levels?

It'd be nice to have it.
I think we'll have the same if not more control, but not as mayor I'd think.
I can't really think of any features from Pocket Camp I'm looking for (besides items), but seeing your friendship with a villager is nice.

Seeing your friendship? Like in the Sims?

Wouldn't Animal Crossing lose its magic if it tries to copy other games? In what ways would you like to see Animal Crossing innovate?

Not really, it's a very common feature.
I don't really mind if it's a feature or not, as you already get a sense of the friendship level.
I'm always for more customization.

I'd like to create my character at the start rather than have the Q & A with Rover.

I think they kind of have to go down this route now. They (very much rightfully) added skin color, and I just can't see any appropriate way that Nintendo could do that through Rover or a similar approach. I see the whole character design being like in HDD/PC, but they'll still find creative ways to ask about other things.

I hope they do away with Rover at the start so we can customize, but then add him into the game as a regular NPC. I would be SO happy to see him more often, he's my favorite.

I like Rover too.
I wish he was a villager!

Skin color could always be an option at Shampoodle.

Shampoodle asking questions to determine what skin color you're going to change to, or treating it like a tan is pretty much no less awkward and problematic than anything they could do with Rover.

It has to be done like it is in HHD/PC. There's just no getting around it.

of course. i hope there's more faces and hair styles to be honest since every male character uses the same wavy hairstyle, including me haha

have a scale thats like : do you prefer sunny or rainy days?

Always sunny!

Always rainy!

technically this would be a tan but i don't know how else they could implement a story behind skin color with rover lol

tbh just give us the character creator from pocket camp

For nostalgia reasons I prefer the Rover questionnaire, but I agree with others that there's no good way to implement skin color that way (and I've never liked the sun scale idea, sorry poyonomatopaeia), and I don't think it'd be a good idea to lock it behind Shampoodle. This is both for having similar issues as the Rover process but also that, imo, people shouldn't have to wait that long to choose their skin color.

I hope so. Sometimes I liked to change my character, especially if I accidentally chose the wrong character, but usually I'm pretty careful about that. Plus it's nice to be able to change your character if you start to not like them after awhile. Change things up, you know?

Quite honestly, I think more detailed player characters will be in the next game because the creators of AC usually don't regress too much when it comes to features in general (except for a few notable one likes getting rid of the Bank/Debit Cards from City Folk/LGTC which made shopping so much easier at places like Gracie's). How they handle that more detailed customization will be interesting if it involves Rover somehow. o/

I still like the questions, I just wish it wouldn’t decide what you look like

As nice and simple as that would make things, I can only imagine the controversy of ?changing race? at shampoodle. Of course, it could just be a tanning machine, which it might work then
