Will you be buying Physical or Digital?

For me, I think it'll depend on how towns are kept.
I'm assuming it'll be one town per-cartridge, so that's what I'll be going with.

Not a good assumption - data isn't stored on Carts on the switch. Its user based and stored on the system.

So an (x) amount of data/towns on one SD depending on the data limit?
I suppose that is cheaper and more sensible. I haven't even bothered making an account on my Switch yet, so I just assumed it was the same as the 3DS. Guess I'll have to wait and see.

I will be purchasing the physical copy of the game! I don?t like having any digital games, although they take up less space!

In the past I'd have answered with a straight "I only buy Physical" but having played Elnea Kingdom on my switch it's kind of nice to be able to put down say Breath of the Wild and then immediately switch to something relaxing without having to fiddle with cartridges and stuff. I don't dare take my switch out of the house for anything since it's a home console only for me so portability isn't really a thing I concern myself with.

Though I do still kinda want a box... so I might go physical anyway.

I usually say I'm going to buy physical, but just end up buying digital because of the convenience. I'm still undecided though!

Always physical. Never digital unless there's no other option

Haven't decided yet. I'm leaning towards getting both at the moment.

I prefer digital games but I want to own the box, so I'm going physical.

The only digital game I have is Stardew Valley because (I think??) they don't make a physical version of that. I prefer physical over digital because it just takes up a lot of space and I've always rather have a cartridge. I don't really mind switching cartridges, I take my switch a lot of places and I have the little game storage packs to go with my carrying case.

I think I'm leaning more towards a physical copy this time around. I had a physical copy and a digital copy of new leaf. I loved the portability of having the digital copy, but I'm not completely sure what I want to do yet.

I?m buying physical. Treasure it forever! I love physical copies. :)

I strongly prefer physical games. But with that said, if there's ever a game to buy digitally, it's one that you're going to be playing every day for a long period of time, like Animal Crossing. I'll plan to buy the physical game, but if I have any trouble finding it on release day, I'll just buy digital instead. When it comes to Animal Crossing (at least the core games), I don't want to wait any longer than I have to. :p

I hadn't thought about how a digital copy may "arrive" earlier. Only by a matter of hours, and unless your sleep schedule is unusual, depending on your timezone, it likely won't make much difference.

It makes a huge difference.
Here on the east coast, 1st party Nintendo games unlock at midnight and you are typically allowed to pre-load them weeks in advance so that you aren't stuck in traffic while all those that slept on the pre-load rush to the shop to download. There is no doubt in my mind that Animal Crossing Switch will be the same way.

Pre-loading and early access is to encourage the consumer to take the digital route as the profit margin is much, much larger compared to the percentage that has to go to the retailer+manufacturing costs.
