I'm so torn. I WANT it but I already have a perfectly fine switch. My gf really wants a switch so I likely will give her my old one and take the new one haha. So my question is: Will you be taking the $300 leap?
Will you be buying the new ACNH Special Edition Switch?

Yep! I pre-ordered from Target the day it was available. My original Switch is perfectly fine, but I have been waiting and saving up for the AC edition since long before it was announced. I specifically took a ton of overtime and double time shifts last year to save up for this and a few other things, so I don't feel too bad. I worked really hard for the extra money. Plus, now my fiance will get our old Switch to call his very own, lol.

Joycon drift is the WORST! I've had to replace quite a few joy cons at this point
the better battery life is also a plus.. if I can get my hands on it I think I'll be buying it too!rezberri

no. i like the concept of the switch's body itself and would have liked to buy it separate from all the other accessories it came with, but i am content with the regular switch i have now. i'm glad they even made a special edition console for it, but i guess it was kind of expected considering they made some in the past for the ac series.
I finally decided to get a switch lite, since I most definitely will only use it in handheld-mode. The design of the ACNH switch is very cute but ultimately, it just didn't make up for the price difference for me. In case you're from Germany/Europe - the ACNH switch is still available at the big online shops for electronics.

Well, it depends. Justin posted an article a couple weeks ago (linked below) stating that the Special Edition Switch is not considered a limited edition, at least not in Japan, and that they'll be making more. I imagine the Coronavirus is affecting production at this point in time.

I have the Let's Go Eevee switch. I originally said I didn't want the new switch, but I'm regretting my decision just a little bit. I don't really have the money for it anyway and I would rather get the game now anyway. Plus, I do love my Eevee and Pikachu switch even though it doesn't have the longer battery life.
Nah. I recently just upgraded my launch Switch to the one with the better battery anyway. (Huge improvement btw.)

Joycon drift is the bane of my life!! Haha. Not quite but close anyways. This is the second time it?s happened (though to be fair my husband and I both play our switch a lot).

I missed the preorder window sadly. However, I am buying one off of someone locally that is selling their preorder.
I pre-ordered mine the moment it became available in the UK. I'll be paying a bit more since I chose GAME, but it's too late to change now. I don't mind though, I got my poptart XL from them and it arrived on release day. I'm very excited because this is my first Switch! I held off getting one until an AC version was released. :')
I don't have a switch yet, so I'm looking to buy. Unfortunately, I did not think they would sell out as quick as they had, so I don't have one preordered. I'm currently waiting for them to go back on sale. If I can't get one in my hands by the time the game releases, then I'll just buy a regular switch.
