it will be compatible with 2DS if you buy the NFC adaptor, and yes, tfeu are in blind bags like Pok?mon cards

I'm definitely going to buy it even though I only have a regular 3ds. I love the Animal Crossing franchise and I'm sure this game will be a fun new addition. It kind of makes me think of the Sims (maybe just the build/buy modes) + ACNL, or at least somewhere in between the two. Either way, I'm super excited to give it a go!
I've decided that I'm getting it. I will wait on the card reader and cards, unless there is a bundle with a good deal. The game seems like it can be fun without the cards so for now I'll be taking the cheap route. xD ahaha

I've preordered the game through Amazon, but only because I was ordering something else that was too cheap to get free super saver delivery so I'll probably cancel it if Game or the Nintendo store have any decent preorder bonuses (I am hoping somewhere will bundle the game with extra Amiibo card packs) or if they are cheaper 
right now I'm on the fence about buying or not... the game looks fun from the trailer, but I feel like it's really something that I would expect as an update to acnl rather than an spin-off game on its own... the fact that I don't have a new 3ds xl also makes me kinda feel iffy about it, so I think I'm gonna wait it out first.
I think I'd like to but I'm not so sure about spending a full ?30-40 on the game. If it costs ?30-40 AND includes the amiibo reader then I think it'd be quite likely for me to get it (guessing the reader retails for ?15-20) as long as I have the money.

I'm actually really mad because I already bought the new 3ds xl because I figured there wouldn't be another pokemon/acnl exclusive ds for awhile. Low and behold here it comes. I will still get happy home designer but be extremely bitter about not being able to get the very pretty 3ds. ;_;

The New Nintendo 3DS XL bundle hasn't been confirmed for NA release yet which is pretty strange to me. I wouldn't be TOO disappointed yet since it actually is still a long way off until September 25th. We could possibly get news about a possible XL in late August/early September.
