I have no idea let alone knowing a plan. I'll see where the game takes me I suppose, there's so much to explore before even thinking about my island layout to be honest.
I'm sure I'll plan but I'm not really going to be planning until I start my town, solidify a town map, and what not. I need to actual run through my town to get a feel for planning so no point in designing a map layout in advance for me.
Both in a way! I want to slow my progress int his game, as I always felt in NL that I completed everything too quickly and got bored after a year (and restarted). SO whilst I do plan on planning what I want for the future of my town, it will probably be for an ideal town in a year or two, not something to start doing ASAP. Also there's certain aspects I want to plan, like having my house on a cliff next to a waterfall (I can move my house, and I can make a waterfall, but if I don't have to do either, I'd prefer that!)
I think natural mostly; I planned my NL town using patterns in places for PWPs but with how easy it is to move furniture outside I don't think I'll need to plan too much! I believe you can also move shops and your house too?
I think I'm still going to reset for a side- and base-exiting river in case those are fixed, but apart from that I'll go with the flow once I get the stuff I want from my island!
I'm going to pick a very nice map for starters, just incase terraforming has limitations preventing me from getting what I wan't. Then I'll play around with terraforming when unlocked to improve things.
I plan to make a suburbs for villager homes, and then an area for shops and museum. The rest is fair game I guess.
