Will you time travel on your first day of playing?

Yes!

With so many different languages available, I want to test if changing the language setting of the Switch or the region will allow me to experience the holidays in different regions. If it ends up being possible, I will then compile a list to use throughout the year. I won't be time travelling to every holiday, only one or two to test it out.

I changed the language during a holiday and got a twelve grape plate instead of the generic item. LOL

I'm thinking that I might TT to my B-day... Or I dunno... I didn't with NL so maybe might be more fulfilling to wait! That means I have time to date Bam before Valenties... Also I can at least celebrate Tanby's and Bam's B-days! So I guess that's settled! Yep no TT'ing! Sorry I had a convo with myself here ╭︎(ಠ_ಠ٥)╮︎

First day the clock will be set 4 hours behind because I play late at night. After that I will not be time traveling.

I'm hoping time travelling will no longer be possible in the series. I want to progress naturally and unlock things with that feeling of accomplishment. I hate the idea of Time travelling and just unlocking everything really quickly. I did that with New Leaf and got bored of the game after 1 month. I want this game to last a really long time and constantly learn and discover new things as the game progresses.

That isn't fair to those of us that time travel is a necessity to, for whatever reason, be it work, illness etc.

I don't understand why those who don't TT, have to put those of us who do, down for it.

I wouldn't wish something that takes away from the experience of the game, gone, for another person, and would like the same treatment.

Im gonna really try not to TT the first couple months. But I will TT a couple hours if I miss events/holidays or some time during the day due to work.

No way! I don't plan on time traveling for at least a few months after the release. I want to enjoy the game in real time for as long as possible, such as until I accidentally miss something and have to TT backwards or stop playing for a while and don't want to lose any villagers.

I'm going to pile on to everyone else's decision which is no, lol
I have mystery dungeon to 100% complete so once I'm done my AC day I will probably just switch back to mystery dungeon

I won't at all, let alone on the first day!

Seeing that I've been playing New Leaf for over two months and have time time-traveled approximately zero times, and that I like the satisfaction of seeing my village slowly grow and evolve, nope. I don't think my Issy (Isabelle) would like that; she'd want me to do things the proper way!

I read through some of the previous posts, and I saw a few posts where people said they'd try not to time travel at first, but will eventually, almost as if their decision to eventually time travel is irresistible and out of their control since they've already done it and got into the habit. I can see the appeal behind it, and while I can't guarantee I'll never time travel, before I try it I'll think to myself "it only takes one time..." which isn't a problem for people who want to rush through Animal Crossing (go for it! :)), but I acknowledge Nintendo's vision of AC as a slow-paced relaxing game where things unravel bit by bit and will treat it as such, and to time travel would be subverting their vision.

First day? Not for me. I don't think I would until the game has been out for a full year.

Absolutely not. I don’t consider time traveling cheating, but it’s not something I like to do. It might go back an hour or two in new leaf if I forgot to buy something in able sister or nooklings, but I don’t time travel days. I especially won’t be time traveling the first day in New Horizons. I’ll already have so much to do

Yep. I have no issues pertaining to time travel. It'll be something I'm sure I use at least until my town is heavily setup/villagers all locked in and I don't want the risk of a random move.

Nope not on the first day...I want to play by the rules maybe after a few months or a year I might. As for now, I feel like this game is worth not time traveling for. I had a bad habit time traveling in new leaf.

I'm going to try to not time travel at all, honestly.
Especially since there seems to be some type of drop-box for selling outside of normal hours (or at least that's what I remember seeing) there's no reason for me to not just keep fishing/catching bugs all night if I wanted to.

And then I'm sure I'll have plenty to do every day after that point :)

nope! it seems like they've really combated the lack of things to do, with all the nookmiles you can collect and gathering you can do
it at least seems like it'll be way more involved than new leaf's 'welcome to the town, you can talk to your villagers and thats about it'
