The only problem I have had in the past is missing out on events that occur on Saturday or holidays because I work. So in WW/CF/NL I would get home and rewind to the morning so I can at least enjoy the event. Then put it back when I’m done.
We don't even know if Time Travel is going to be permitted in this game.
I told myself I wouldn't TT at all in this game (I did it way too much in NL) so I'll just keep catching fish and bugs and such until I get bored of doing all of that the first day; the game comes out Friday and I'm HOPING the Stalk Market begins that Sunday so I want to have a good amount of bells to buy Turnips!
Aside from replays years after a release, the only time I ever time travel in Animal Crossing is to go backwards 1 or 2 hours because I was busy with real life, and Shampoodle closed, or I missed a holiday by a few hours.
As for the first day of playing? No. There is way too much stuff to do to feel like I need to go to the next day. And since the game is so new, it will have my full attention in almost every aspect.
I’m not sure what date I’ll manage to start, but I don’t plan on time traveling to begin with. I doubt I’ll have time to play more than a few hours anyway, and when I started a fresh ACNL town last spring, I managed to come up with five hours of activities to occupy my first day. And should I suddenly have lots of time on my hands, I have other games I want to play as well.
My main reasons for time traveling are to make the clock fit my schedule better (I play late, enough so that the night owl ordinance doesn’t really help, so for ACNL, I set my clock back seven hours on a permanent basis) and to play holidays/events that I didn’t have time to play in real time. I don’t tend to jump ahead with time traveling; I like watching the seasons pass normally.
I would never even consider time travelling. My brain wont let me and I would feel like I am cheating at that point haha! Don't they know when you time travel on the games anyway?
I've been wondering if there even will be time travel when I recall that we've been introduced to daily reset nook mile rewards? But if there is I would only be doing it to make sure I could get my day activities done as my sleep suffers for the most part :' ) I did TT a whole lot in NL as I liked getting my dreamies faster hmm, guess i'll see as it does look like they made this worth taking slow : D
Not likely, as I have work that evening an will only get to play for a few hours beforehand. That doesn't mean that if time travel is a feature I won't use it though, but really only to experience scheduled events I would normally miss because of work or other obligations.
I want the game to last as long as possible, so no TT for me. I usually only touch the clock if I missed an event or had something in RL cause me to miss some days
Not me. This is the first AC title I will start on release day and I want to experience it as the designers intend and with all of you guys on the forum.
I'm going to try my hardest not to. I used to play 3-6 days in one sitting, but it would only last me 2 months before I took a hiatus for the game. #GoalNoTimeTravel!
Absolutely not. I won’t time travel until after I’ve already unlocked everything. I don’t like to TT to unlock things earlier than I’m supposed to, but once there’s nothing left to unlock, it won’t bother me.
I just want to explore my island and gather materials. That seems like it would take an entire day to do. It?s just nice that we can gather materials and craft now!
