My best guess is that I went to someone's town and got Wolfgang to move in. The next day, there was no Wolfgang plot, but Wolfgang was in my campsite. I sorta freaked, not sure if Wolfgang was coming to live in my town because I figured he would not appear in the campsite if he was coming. So I invited that Wolfgang from the campsite to live in my town and he accepted. The next day, there was a Wolfgang plot. The day after that, the plot turned invisible but still acts as if it is there. I got a letter from Wolfgang saying he isn't moving in, but he is listed on my map.
Still not 100% sure what happened. I suppose just beware inviting campers that you already invited from another town

No, that's too far of a jump.
I do much larger jumps TT'ing than most people but I have spent a lot of time figuring out my TT method based on experiments I have done in my cycling towns. I rarely TT just one day at a time. But that's just me.
