I do it via sd card I take it out from the ds and insert it on my laptop. I am unsure on any other way.

You can also go on Miiverse while you have ACNL or any game open (just minimize the game and go to home, and then click on miiverse); then click on post, then choose post screenshot, and then you can post a picture of what's on your top screen or your bottom screen. And from there, you can save them onto your computer if you log on to your miiverse account on your computer.
