This is based on stuff that started here: https://www.belltreeforums.com/showthread.php?452781-Favorite-Type&p=7942692&viewfull=1#post7942692

Which came first, a Voltorb or a Pokeball? And why is it that when it evolves, new eyes grow where it's butt would be and its old eyes just disappear?

Consider, answer, ask your own questions!

This topic would have been so much better if it was: "Make a Pokemon team of the six most ridiculous Pokemon." So if you want to try that too, I'd understand.

Nosepass and Probopass. Supposedly they detect magnetic fields, but I really don't understand why they need to be giant noses for that. You can't smell magnetic fields.

All of the gen 1 and gen 5 designs save a few. Lmao

I am not as familiar with Generation 5, but what are some Gen 1 examples? I don't want to sound like a troglodyte, but I kind of like the simpler designs of many generation 1 characters. I remember the first time I saw Raikou and Suicine and thinking they were over-designed relative to the legendary birds.

Generation one has some of the most iconic characters to me--Bulbasaur, the Abra line, Hypno, Starmie, Vileplume, etc.

Of course, you are right. There are some really questionable calls, most of all, Jynx (but also weirdos like Mr. Mime, Voltorb, etc.)

I don't know which generation Snivy came from, but that thing looks awful. Zero chance that thing could survive in the wild.

I loathe Machamp. Maybe it's the fact that it has 4 arms and just looks really gross, but everytime I see a machamp I get really angry xDD

There’s been a video done by SilverLeagueNetworks where he notices a lot of the gen 5 designs and amount of Pokemon copies some of the gen 1 Pokemon. Notable examples being the Grimer and Muk line being like Trubbish and Garbodor, Machop, Machoke, and Machamp line being like the Timburr, Gurdurr, and Conkeldurr line, the Ponyta and Rapidash line being like the Blitzle and Zebstrika line, etc. Just watching the video and realizing this made me have distaste in a lot of gen 1 and gen 5 Pokemon.

EDIT: Also, yes. Snivy is overrated imo, and the Tepig line is atrocious.

incineroar

i fell in love with litten but my heart broke when incineroar was revealed

i understand the whole heel wrestler concept. that doesn't mean i have to like it

bipedal pokemon in general are not my favourite designs, but at least something like delphox still has more animal appearance than human. incineroar literally looks like a human dressed as a cat and his hip thrusting makes me feel uneasy :(
