I think so, 100%. Because if you enjoy AC, then you'll most likely be sinking a lot of hours into the game itself. I think once AC NH comes out it'll be the only game I'll be playing for a while.
I would say so. You could easily invest 100's of hours into the new Animal Crossing game alone, and then stumble upon other titles while you crave another game.
There's always the cheaper Switch Lite if you are on the fence.
well people do buy consoles for a specific game. I bought the 3ds specifically for ACNL and I bought my switch to play BOTW. I had no other games in mind at the time, I just really wanted to play BOTW. Thankfully, there’s a ton of other games I play for Switch now so that’s not really a problem. If I hadn’t bought the switch earlier, I would have probably bought it for ACNH as well. Maybe wait for the initial reviews of the game? You still got a lot of time to think about it as well as research other games you might be interested in. Also, you might just feel like getting the game anyways because a lot of the online community will probably be moving towards trading and stuff on the new game (if connecting online with other players is your thing). Personally, i’m quite happy with the switch library so far and I think it’s well worth it. but that’s just me.
if you wanna play the new game then yes, there's no other way to play it after all. And it looks really good to be honest, plus if it's like new leaf then it's going to last long ^^ I'm surprised none of the other games interest you since the switch has a pretty huge library and some really good games, but everyone has their preferences of course! i'd suggest you get the new nintendo switch lite instead of the original, 300 + 60 for the game is a bit too much just to play one game imo
Unfortunate to say, I'm not a gaming person. I don't really play any other video game besides NL and I bought/pestered 3DS consoles just for NL. I still haven't bought Switch yet, because I'm assuming the bundle version some sort when it comes out, and I'll buy the Switch just for NH. If it lets you be capable of having fun with what you love, I'd say go for it?
I used to buy only pokemon games in Switch until Animal Crossing started to be released. AC can be entertaining for long amounts of time and it doesn't get boring for months. If you do get bored, take a little break and go back. I think its total worth it if your buying just the one game. Save your money and buy the Switch Lite if you have to.
The only reason i still play nintendo consoles after 10+ years is because of animal crossing. Il be getting the whole bundle fi they do a AC styled Switch like they did with the 3ds version.
I would also suggest spending the extra 100$ for detachable JoyCons, a JoyCon grip, the dock and the ability to play on your TV. 1080p Animal Crossing is the way to go if you want to admire your village in full splendor. Besides, if you want to play with friends, the Nintendo Swicth Lite's screen is way too small.
I'm planning on selling all of my old 3DS games and buying a second hand switch lite to kind of make less of a dent in my wallet, but yeah, I think it's totally worthwhile. This looks like it's going to be such a unique AC game with even more ways to spend 100s of hours playing. Even though I don't like the look of any other games on the switch I'm definitely going to be going for it.
I would say it's worth it. After all, the new AC looks like a game where you spend lots of time into it, especially since you have to build your town from scratch this time. Also, maybe after own a Switch, you may found more games you gonna enjoy next to AC.
I think so, I mean animal crossing is easily a game personally I can sink hours and hours into. Especially considering they don't come out with new AC games all that often. I play new leaf enough to pay for my ds and game many times over. Now that a switch lite is an option too I think that's even more reason to go for it. Even if there aren't a ton of games you're interested in now, you never know what they could put out in the future. The switch is probably going to be a long lived console, they may upgrade it but that original one you were considering getting now could pay off in the future.
I'm on the fence about buying this new Switch with a longer battery life. It's not a huge difference but it might help, especially when putting a lot of hours in AC.
